<p>After taking last week off, the Wednesday Wrap-Up is back with a rundown of current events in the local prep hoops scene. Here are a few noteworthy storylines that have manifested during the past fortnight.</p>

<p>2022 point guard prospect <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="904678" first="Ifanieye" last="Lewis"] </strong>has the chance to become a household name in the DMV by this time next year. Eleanor Roosevelt’s lead guard is a leader and a two-way player who is resilient. ER is a distinguished program with a rich history, and Lewis understands what it takes to continue that. </p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="777068" first="George" last="Perkins"]: Scratching the Surface</h5>
<p>There is plenty to like about the long-term potential of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="777068" first="George" last="Perkins"]</strong>. He’s 6’8" and agile. Perkins communicates on defense and can space the floor on offense. He has the tools and is learning from an excellent coach in Eric Singletary. It probably isn’t wise to bet against Perkins becoming a consistently productive college player down the line. </p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="904623" first="Trey" last="Thomas"]: Pure Talent</h5>
<p>You simply can’t deny the talent that <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="904623" first="Trey" last="Thomas"] </strong>possesses. He’s a big guard, standing close to 6-foot-4 with good athleticism. Thomas is a maestro in the pick-and-roll, scores at all levels, and is strong at the point of attack defensively. He’s undoubtedly been an integral part of The success of DMV Sports Academy this winter. </p>
<h5><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="775338" first="Elijah" last="Hawkins"] Commitment Watch</strong></h5>
<p> DeMatha PG <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="775338" first="Elijah" last="Hawkins"]</strong> is expected to end his recruitment this week. The highly regarded unsigned senior, who is known as a tenacious on-ball defender, received an offer from Howard a couple of months ago. It will be interesting if Hawkins decides to take that offer, or if another school will land him. </p>
