The 2020-21 Wisconsin high school basketball season wrapped up this past weekend, and many prospects parted with the season on a high note. Here are eight prospect standouts from state:

[player_tooltip player_id="804904" first="Brian" last="Parzych"] -- 2021 -- PG -- Wauwatosa East

I really can’t say enough great things about how Parzych performed in this state tournament. Leading his team to the championship, the point guard was a steady presence for his squad throughout the whole season, but especially late in games. When Tosa East needed a big play, they looked Parzych’s way.

[player_tooltip player_id="801149" first="Jackson" last="Paveletzke"] -- 2022-- PG -- Kimberly

Even though Kimberly didn’t reach their ultimate goal, Paveletzke certainly has nothing to be disappointed in with regards to his play. The 2022 point guard played amazing basketball. He passed well, made shots, and came very close to leading his squad to the Gold Ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="994508" first="Jameer" last="Barker"] -- 2021 -- SG -- Racine St. Catherine’s

Barker is a perfect example of a senior who made the most of his final high school season. When his team needed him the most, Barker was always there to make a big play. He is a tremendous defender who also proved that he can score when called upon.

[player_tooltip player_id="879981" first="Kamari" last="McGee"] -- 2021 -- PG -- Racine St. Catherine’s

McGee showed that he should be considered one of the very best players in Wisconsin high school basketball. He is a lockdown perimeter defender, crafty scorer around the rim, and overall just a really great leader. McGee had a huge performance in the championship game to lead St. Catherine’s to the win.

[player_tooltip player_id="764106" first="Gavin" last="McGrath"] -- 2021 -- PF -- Onalaska

If McGrath continues to improve and make great strides in his game, I think that he will be a huge problem for opposing teams to deal with at the next level. Onalaska fell in the state championship game, but McGrath showed some promise, as he put up 18 points in a win over Xavier.

[player_tooltip player_id="801146" first="Max" last="Weisbrod"] -- 2022 -- PG -- Deforest

In a tough loss to Kimberly in the semi-finals, Weisbrod put up a great performance. The senior point guard scored 20 points on 8-18 shooting from the field. The point guard made great strides over the course of his career, and he certainly ended his senior season on a high note despite the loss.

[player_tooltip player_id="761419" first="Ashton" last="Janowski"] -- 2022 -- PG -- Pewaukee

Janowski isn’t the flashiest prospect in the state, but he is no doubt one of the best. He is such a good passer who can always make plays for his teammates. In the championship game win over Onalaska, Janowski scored 19 points and dished out four assists.

[player_tooltip player_id="963676" first="Alex" last="Singleton"] -- 2021 -- PF -- Wauwatosa East

There is no doubt in my mind that Singleton remains one of the most underrated prospects in Wisconsin. He is a star power forward that scores really well around the rim. He also rebounds and defends at an elite level. He scored 20 points for Tosa East in the Gold Ball winning effort.
