When getting to the state championship isn’t your first time it sure makes it a lot easier to plan and prepare for what is to come. That is exactly what happened when Quincey Lewis and Lehi were lead by a coach that captured his 8th State Championship. Lehi was ready and had some major play from their top 3 guys. Farmington got some good play from multiple players but they could not get a few shots to roll in and they could not get enough stops down the stretch. Great game from start to finish that displayed two big time D1 guards. Farmington will now move to 6A and Lehi will look to reload.

Impressive Players

6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="543077" first="Noa" last="Gonsalves"], Lehi High School

Dixie State University is getting a good one. Noa is elite and what makes him tough is his demeanor. He is as calm a player as you will find. Noa is right handed which is what you have to respect with his quickness and speed but he loves going left and finishing on that side. He also has a great spin back jumper in the mid post. His scoring from deep makes you play him up which is just a tough all around cover. Expecting help is a must but then he beats the help with his elite vision. Noa closed the game out as he seemed like he was not going to be denied late.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="934472" first="Collin" last="Chandler"], Farmington High School

Collin is a Top 100 prospect in the country and the more we see him play the more he is going to climb. He is being recruited by Stanford, Utah, Oregon, BYU just to name a few. When it’s all said and done he will have some great choices and offers’. Collin can stop and pop from deep with ease. His shot from deep is looking real good and he is finishing on both sides of the floor. Collin didn’t force many opportunities as he made the right basketball play a lot. Impressed with his rebounding as it has gone up. He could be a double-double player next year.

6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1095803" first="Peter" last="Amakasu"], Lehi High School

A relatively unknown player because he was a transfer from California, but this kid can play. He plays defense and his offensive game is sound. Finished a brilliant senior season campaign showing his bounce on a nice two handed finish on a break. Peter is a NJCAA or D2 kid that can hoop. Not sure if he wants to stay near Utah or head back to So.Cal but he is a player that will be great at the next level.

6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="933805" first="Tyson" last="Hawkins"], Lehi High School

Tyson is another sleeper prospect that does it all. He was smooth from deep and he is crafty going to the basket. Tyson plays excellent defense. With many college coaches wanting players that can play multiple positions, Tyson is a great option. He has a long wingspan and he can defend the littles and the bigs.
