The 2021 season was not kind to all teams as some were able to play over 10 games, while others were limited to as few as four. The lack of games did not stop newcomers making an immediate impact on their team, especially in Non-Public A. Here are the top impact newcomers in Non-Public A.

[player_tooltip player_id="1046909" first="Elliot" last="Cadeau"], 6’2 PG Bergen Catholic 2024

It’s hard for a freshman to make an instant impact on one of the top team’s in the state, but Cadeau was able to do that. The 6’2 guard has a good handle and the athleticism to finish above the rim. Cadeau plays with a scorer’s mentality as evidenced by his 30-point performance against St. Joseph (Mont.) He has proven to be more than just a scorer with three games of six or mores assists including 10 against Gill St. Bernard’s. Cadeau has earned the title as the top prospect in the 2024 class and has an extremely bright future ahead of him.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050391" first="Tarik" last="Watson"], 6’8 SF/PF Don Bosco Prep 2024

The Ironmen are one of the top teams in Bergen County as they have a stellar young frontcourt duo in the Watson brothers. The younger brother has a strong frame for a freshman which he uses to draw contact. Watson has a good touch around the basket and can also handle the ball on the perimeter. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to alter shots on the defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id="850753" first="Akil" last="Watson"] is the go-to guy for Don Bosco, but Tarik has established himself as one of the better frontcourt prospects in the 2024 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="1027934" first="Gavin" last="Kreitz"], 5’9 PG Seton Hall Prep 2022

The Pirates lost a ton of production in the backcourt, but they gotten a big lift with the addition of Kreitz. The Ridge transfer has a smooth shooting stroke and is capable of burying triples in bunches. Kreitz is more than just a shooter as he has a nice handle and can finish around the basket. He does not force the issue on the offensive end and is an underrated defender. Kreitz has had a solid debut season for Seton Hall Prep as he has provided the team with a spark from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013006" first="Hassan" last="Jackson"], 6’4 SG/SF St. Peter’s Prep 2021

The Marauders have been one of the Garden State’s best in 2021 as Jackson has filled his role nicely. The Marist transfer is a physical wing who uses his strong frame to get to the basket. Jackson is a good finisher around the rim and is capable of knocking down jumpers on the perimeter. He is a tough on-ball defender and hustles for loose balls all over the court. Jackson is a rugged guard prospect who will provide energy and toughness to his team at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="900327" first="Elijah" last="Barlow"], 6’0 PG St. Joseph (Met.) 2021

The Falcons have been one of the top teams in the GMC throughout the year and the addition of Barlow is a big reason why. The Union Catholic transfer is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher and can draw contact. Barlow has a good release on his jumper and is capable of running the offense. His biggest strength could be his defense as he is one of the top on-ball defenders in the GMC. Barlow’s ability to play at both ends of the floor makes him an intriguing prospect for the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050390" first="Dylan" last="Seay"], 6’5 SF/PF St. John Vianney 2024

[player_tooltip player_id="1013044" first="Adam" last="Silas"], 6’2 PG St. Thomas Aquinas 2022

Mirko Bramati, 6’7 SF Paul VI 2023
