Bishop Timon-St. Jude - 3-1 Overall

The Bishop Timon- St. Jude Tigers’ 2020-2021 campaign is off to a solid start. The undefeated-at-home Tigers are 3-1 overall, with a positive point differential of 51 thus far. have started the season with a record of 3 wins and 2 losses. Their lone loss thus far came by four points against St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute.

So far, Leo Caminlloni has been a bright spot for the Tigers. The Senior guard has carved out a much-needed niche on this team; he plays a crucial third ballhandling role alongside [player_tooltip player_id="1046815" first="Kamar" last="Goudelock"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1047763" first="Jaymier" last="Patton"]. If one of those two sit, Camilloni is confident and aggressive enough to slide into a secondary distributing role. The two-sport athlete (football) is in terrific condition and plays with a noticeable edge. The Senior backcourt trio combines to put relentless pressure on opponents throughout the duration of the game, rarely letting up any intensity.

Shooting Guard [player_tooltip player_id="1046832" first="Kevin" last="Thompson"] has been one of the more impressive defensive presences in the conference thus far. He has been a one-man-zone at times thus far, blocking 2.3 shots per game from the backcourt this year. Most impressive is the fact that he stands just 6’4”. His physical play and mental acumen clearly makes up for his (lack of) size in the paint, as he has cemented himself as a top rim protector in 2021.

Though he has appeared in just a single game, Junior Makari Inabinett has shown that he can be a valuable piece off of the bench. Listed as both a Guard and a Forward, Inabinett’s defensive versatility was on full display in a 30 point route of Nichols on 2/21. He has a knack for finding himself in positive defensive positioning; for example, he routinely picks the correct angle to shade ballhandlers into a perilous situation. He is averaging a steal-per-game; if he can keep up or exceed that output, the Tigers will become even more tough to beat.
