The event featured over 17 Nevada-based programs and offered an opportunity for players to gain some long-overdue exposure. It also featured several terrific top-notch floor generals. In this article, we take a look at the top PG’s from the event.
Tavionte Jackson Tavionte Jackson 6'1" | PG Las Vegas | 2022 NV 6’1 PG Hard 2 Guard 2022 (#4PHN 2022) – Jackson did what top players did. He let the game come to him and made it look easy. His penetration ability can only be described as elite, as no one was able to stay in front of him. He also showed how he was able to make the list of top 30 WC rebounders, using his long arms to steal rebounds away from taller opponents.
Dominic Washington Dominic Washington 5'9" | PG Green Valley | 2022 State NV 5’8 PG OTTG 2022 (#67PHN 2022) – Washington was more aggressive offensively than I’ve seen him in the past, showing flashes of brillance. He has a nice behind-the-back COD and was able to create shots for himself. Currently more a scoring PG, Washington did execute the offense and as always was a pest while harassing opposing ballhandlers.
Chris White Chris White 5'10" | PG Valley | 2022 NV 5’10 PG LV Shooters 2022 – I love White’s speed and athleticism, the transplant from California was able to get anywhere he wanted on the court. He harrassed ballhandlers and executed the 3 on 2 and 2 on 1 break to perfection.
Nakalya Fabello Nakalya Fabello 5'10" | PG Valley | 2023 State NV 5’10 PG Verdict 2023 (#10PHN 2023) – Fabello reminded me of what I missed with not having a season. He has improved a great deal from the last 6-8 months. Always a pit bull on defense, Fabello displayed an evolving offensive game that included knocking down 3’s and finishing in the lane. A tough as nails competitor, his steal and finished allowed Verdict to escape with a close win over Elko.
Xakime Milton Xakime Milton 5'8" | PG Centennial | 2021 State NV 5’8 PG LVXF 2021 (#33PHN 2021) (featured image) – Known for his speed, what was impressive about Milton today was his bounce. The 5’8 PG floated around the rim all day, grabbing boards amongst the trees and finishing over the top of defenders. His teammates even threw him a few ambitious lobs, and he caught more of them than you might expect for someone of his size.
Jacques Williams Jr Jacques Williams Jr 5'9" | PG Arbor View | 2022 NV 5’11 PG Hard 2 Guard 2022 (#50PHN 2022) – Williams impressed me with his finishing ability this weekend. In the past he’s been hesitant when it comes to shooting the basketball, but the PG let it fly today. When he’s making shots, he becomes an intriguing prospect because of his speed and defensive ability.
Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV 6’1 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#7PHN 2024) – The young PG played well, scoring in bunches for his squad. He continued to display why he is one of the best shooters off the bounce, as well as showing a willingness to take and make big shots for his squad.
