Cedar City Showcase 2 Recap: Top Snipers

<p>The second Cedar City showcase took place on February 20th and 21st in Cedar City Utah. The event featured over 17 Nevada-based programs and offered an opportunity for players to gain some long-overdue exposure. It also featured several players that could flat-out shoot the ball. In this article, we take a look at the top snipers from the event. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="928906" first="Jalen" last="Foy"] <em>6’5 SF Hard 2 Guard 2022 (#19PHN 2022)</em> - You’ll probably find Foy on my Stockrisers list as well. When he gets his feet set, it was automatic on Saturday. He’s been on my underrated shooters list before, but his consistency has bumped him into deadly shooter category. He was efficient, making a 3 in every game and multiple ones in two out of the 3. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1048706" first="Phoenix" last="Wortham"] <em>6’1 SG LV Shooters 2022 (#60PHN 2022)</em> - Wortham brings his strap whenever he walks into the gym. "Pull up from Half Court" His coach actually told him this during a game, simply because he was on fire. He has an effortless release and only needs to see one go down to get hot. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="859654" first="Miles" last="Mitchell"]<em> 5’11 SG NCB 2022 (#28PHN 2022)</em> - It feels like I’ve been watching [player_tooltip player_id="859654" first="Miles" last="Mitchell"] burry corner 3’s for 5 years. On Saturday, it was more Deja Vu. He showed off his form, knocking down <a href="https://twitter.com/7outzbballclub1/status/1363339830239784962">several treys from his favorite spot on the floor</a>. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="985630" first="Nakalya" last="Fabello"] <em>6’0 PG Verdict 2023 (#10PHN 2023)</em> - It feels a bit odd to have Fabello on this list considering all the other areas he contributed to on Sunday. His shooting can’t be ignored however, he knocked down several 3’s from straight on and hit timely buckets from behind the arc to help his Verdict team to a 2-1 record on the day. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="927128" first="Coleman" last="Lemke"] <em>6’8 PG Team Rogue 2021 (#19PHN 2021)</em> <em>(Featured image)</em> - Lemke, has always been a confident shooter, on Sunday he was off the charts. He sprayed from all over the court, banging home wing 3’s to go along with his now patent cross-screen baseline 3. The Eastern Washington Commit. showed that he will be bringing a strap to the Big Sky next season. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="986798" first="Alijah" last="Adem"] <em>6’0 PG Chosen Few 2024 (#7PHN 2024)</em> - Adem is one of the top off the bounce shooters in the state. His ability to separate and then get his shot off outstretched defenders is remarkable. On Sunday he did this despite being defended by several long-armed defenders. When he did get a free look, he managed to be consistent and accurate. </p> <p><strong>Ryan Kyle</strong> <em>5’9 PG Team Rogue 2024</em> - I don’t know much about Kyle, but I do know he made a ton of 3’s on Saturday. He liked the corner and showed good form and a consistent release on his shot. </p> <p style="text-align: left;">[player_tooltip player_id="1020436" first="Graydon" last="Lemke"] <em>6’5 PF Team Rogue 2024 (#14PHN 2024)</em> - What impressed me most about Lemke on Saturday was his mid-range game. He’s usually a guy that likes to stand behind the line and chuck 3’s Over the weekend, he showed the ability to create for himself.
