Wayne Country Day Guard Jaden Cooper Jaden Cooper 6'3" | CG Wayne Country Day | 2021 State NC does not allow any situation to rattle him on the court and it showed in their matchup with Trinity Academy. He didn’t have his best game scoring wise but he made the high IQ play and it seemed as if every time WCD needed a big play, he provided it. One of the biggest plays of the day was a left hand layup in the 4th quarter that sealed the State Quarterfinals win for WCD.
Berean Baptist Academy Point Guard Kelton Battle was on fire from the start of their state championship game, scoring the first 8 Points for his team which helped them to get off to a tremendous start. He’s strong, quick and understands how to balance his scoring with facilitating to teammates.
Trinity Academy Guard Tyler Gill Tyler Gill 6'0" | PG Trinity Academy (Raleigh) | 2021 State NC had a solid showing, the smooth lefty knows how to get to his spots and had an efficient shooting night from midrange. He doesn’t allow himself to get sped up and kept his turnovers fairly low throughout this matchup.
Berean Baptist Academy Guard Josh Thompson-Parker put on a scoring exhibition in the 4th quarter when his team needed it the most. He broke down defenders for buckets off the dribble, crashed the boards for putbacks and knocked down the three point shot.
Wayne Country Day Forward Vante Hutcherson Vante Hutcherson 6'8" | PF Wayne Country Day | 2021 State NC played sparingly but in the short time he was on the court you could see why several college programs are interested. He is a legit big that doesn’t mind playing in the paint and banging inside with the opposition, although he is still raw offensively he is a player that you wouldn’t mind as a project player on the next level.
