<p>At any point in the calendar year, you can look at prospect rankings and find some players that are ’hot commodities’. This means that because of good play and recent success, they are hot names going around the state. Since Prep Hoops Michigan updated their class of 2022 rankings, we will look at some players that are currently hot commodities in the rankings.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="787685" first="Kyler" last="Vanderjagt"] (SG, Northview)</strong></p>
<p>Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #8</p>
<p>Vanderjagt has been an active name, especially since the summer. People are really appreiating his combination of athleticism, strength, and shooting. Vanderjagt is off to a solid start to this high school season. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863920" first="Jason" last="Drake"] (SG, Ferndale)</strong></p>
<p>Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #9</p>
<p>Drake’s name is circulating heavily since it became known that he was eligible to play immediately at Ferndale. He’s an athletic bucket getter with clear D1 skills. Drake is on track for a huge junior season. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="787680" first="Jack" last="Karasinski"] (SF, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)</strong></p>
<p>Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #10</p>
<p>Karasinski has really made his mark over the last 6 months or so. He’s a silky smooth wing that has shown himself to be an elite athlete. Karasinski is a threat to score at all times and from anywhere. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863932" first="Alex" last="Watters"] (CG, Lansing Catholic)</strong></p>
<p>Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #26</p>
<p>Watters’ name has been hot in high school sports for a while now due to a stellar football season. It hasn’t slowed down since basketball season arrived. Watters is off to an excellent start this season, getting buckets and providing a steady hand with the ball. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863934" first="Chris" last="Mutebi"] (SF, UD Jesuit)</strong></p>
<p>Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #28</p>
<p>Mutebi shares the spotlight on a talented UD Jesuit roster, but that hasn’t stopped him from turning heads. In typical UD Jesuit fashion, Mutebi does what his team needs from him to get a win on any given night. He can both defend and score at a high level. </p>
