Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of Class of 2021 guards who have been big stock risers with their play during the season. They are very good prospects who will be assets to a collegiate program. Check them out.

[player_tooltip player_id="985215" first="Sterling" last="DeSha"] 6’3 Jefferson City: A smooth big shooting guard who can excel at any pace and get buckets in a variety of ways. He's athletic and can create buckets off the dribble with his handles and score through contact in the lane. He can score at all three levels, which includes a high-arching 3-pointer that brings rain. He recently led the Jays to the championship of the Owensville Tournament and erupted for 35 points in a victory over rival Columbia Hickman on Tuesday night.

Drew McMullin 6’0 Republic: The veteran combo guard has been tremendous in leading the Tigers to a 19-2 record. His recent 61-point performance against Camdenton broke records with 16 3-pointers. His a ability to knock down 3-pointers and his vastly improved dribble drive game have made him one of the most potent offensive weapons in Southwest Missouri. He does all of this in an efficient manner with excellent shooting percentages across the board.

[player_tooltip player_id="824178" first="Ryce" last="Piper"] 6’4 Hartville: His name is Ryce, but he can easily be called "Ice" Piper with his cool and calm demeanor in which he exhibits in leading one of state's top teams in the 22-0 Eagles. He's the conductor of this finely-tuned basketball orchestra with his scoring, passing and ability to make his teammates better. He scored 27 points in a recent victory over Viola (Ark). He's a smooth ball handler who can score from 3-point range, the low post or off good cutting off the ball.

Kamaren Bevel 6’2 Confluence: A long and lean shooting guard who is a potent scoring threat to the tune of 20 points a game this season, including a high of 44 points in a victory over Roosevelt last week. He is very smooth with the handles as he can penetrate into the lane or drop off a defender with a nice escape move to set up his jumper. He will pull up from the mid-range or knock down the 3-pointer. He will also get his share of transition buckets off the Titans' pressure defense.

Leroy Atkins 6’2 Sikeston: The talented shooting guard has really leaned into being the No. 1 scoring option for the Bulldogs. He erupted for a career high 46 points in a victory over Campbell last week. It wasn’t the first time he has scored more than 40 points in a game this season. He has ridiculous 3-point shooting range and he will also attack the basket off the dribble. The delivery on his long-distance jumper is almost effortless. He has a nice float game where he will go high off the glass for a bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id="1042408" first="Alijah" last="Carter"] 6’3 Pattonville: The explosive wing plays with great zeal at both ends of the court. He has been consistent all season for the 14-1 Pirates, but he broke out with a special 25-point performance in an overtime victory over University City. He hit five 3-pointers and had a game-saving block at the end of regulation to force overtime. He is currently averaging 17 points, seven rebounds and nearly three steals a game.

Kendrick Stone 6'2" Staley: The athletic wing player has been a key component in the Falcons' 15-1 season with his overall play at both ends of the court. He is solid on defense with his effort and his nearly three steals a game. He is also averaging 11 points, four rebounds and three assists while providing the occasional highlight-reel dunk on the offensive end.

Luke Jordan 6’2 Lee’s Summit West: The point guard has been one of the most improved players in the KC area. After averaging three points a game in part-time duty last season, he is now averaging 15 points, four rebounds and two assists while making 48 3-pointers. He has displayed excellent poise with his ball handling and leadership throughout the season.
