<p>The War Eagles have played a very solid schedule all year long after recently competing at the Beach Ball Classic after Christmas. Guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927500" first="Chase" last="McDuffie"]</strong> (North Carolina A&T) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1005768" first="Timothy" last="Barnes"]</strong> (UMKC) have found schools for next season.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="865307" first="Brandon" last="Gardner"]</strong> a highly touted sophomore forward is ranked #2 in the Palmetto State 2023 Class. [player_tooltip player_id="865341" first="Trai" last="White"] is the floor general for Head Coach Dion Bethea on this roster while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="594048" first="Calvin" last="Hall"]</strong> is a sharp shooting guard with a quick shot release.</p>

<p>The Patriots just won the region and will play in the SCHSL Playoffs this year for the 1st time. <p>The Cavaliers have a big game tomorrow vs Dorman HS at the Bob Jones University in Greenville. The Game is part of The Battle. Post player <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="536311" first="John" last="Butler"]</strong> a Florida State University signee anchors the paint for the Cavaliers. Butler is averaging 20.6 ppg, 9.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks this season. Butler now has scored 1,460 career points, 715 rebounds and 379 blocks. </p>

Butler a sophomore is averaging 9.6 ppg and 6.3 rebounds. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837349" first="Samuel" last="Perry"]</strong> a guard adds 10.1 ppg, [player_tooltip player_id="837331" first="Mason" last="Johnstone"] 7.1 ppg, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840230" first="Bennett" last="Rogers"]</strong> 6.2 ppg and <strong>DJ Harvey</strong> 4.9 ppg. </p>
<p><strong>Landrum HS (17-5) </strong></p>
<p>The Cardinals have been plugging away all season long and not missing a beat. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="976895" first="Isaiah" last="Washington"]</strong> is averaging 20.8 ppg this season for the Cardinals. Washington now has 865 career points. The Cardinals hold a (9-1) region record. </p>
<p><strong>Greer Middle College (16-4)</strong></p>

<p>The Blazers have been led all season long by the senior duo of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840278" first="Allen" last="Kuria"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1063432" first="Jamauri" last="Donald"]</strong>. Kuria a left-handed guard is averaging 20.4 ppg, 5.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals this season. Kuria currently has 1,408 points in his career. </p>
<p>Donald a point guard is averaging 13.1 ppg while <strong>Capri Smith</strong> (2022) is chipping 13.4 ppg, 5.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds. </p>
<p><strong>Legion Collegiate (Rock Hill) (7-6) </strong></p>

<p>The Lancers will be in the playoffs this coming season somewhere maybe as a #2-4 seed it looks like. The Lancers have plenty of weapons in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840241" first="Isaac" last="Hawkins"]</strong> 10 ppg, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837343" first="Marcus" last="Kell"]</strong> 14.6 ppg, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837330" first="Shane" last="Blakeney"]</strong> 12.8 ppg and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="976952" first="Amarion" last="Turner"]</strong> 5.1 ppg to name a few. </p>
<p><strong>Andrew Jackson HS (Kershaw) (7-4) </strong></p>
<p>The Volunteers play in a region with York Prep and Legion Academy. The Volunteers recently lost to York Prep earlier this week 58-45. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1080954" first="Ca’Darrius" last="Sowell"]</strong> has been a steady player all season long for the Volunteers. Sowell is averaging 18.1 ppg and <strong>D’jay Ealey</strong> is averaging 14.2 ppg. Sowell and Ealey both excel on the football field for the Volunteers. </p>
<p><strong>Wade Hampton HS (Hampton) (7-1)</strong> </p>

<p>The Red Devils have been plugging away with a veteran roster. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="746986" first="Brandon" last="Brantley"]</strong> leads the way at 19.6 ppg, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="936270" first="Jamie" last="Risher"]</strong> 13 ppg, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1074340" first="Versalius" last="Johnson"]</strong> 12.4 ppg and 5.3 rebounds and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1127744" first="Issac" last="Gray"]</strong> 12.1 ppg. This foursome makes up of most of the offense for the Red Devils. </p>

The Swamp Foxes will play 4 region games and will finish with county rival Mullins HS on February 17 to conclude the regular season. </p>
