We are powering through with our series of highlighting the top available seniors at each position in the state of Ohio. In this article we’ll be looking at SF who are still uncommitted in the class of 2021. Be sure to check out our other articles in this series that have discussed guards that are still available for colleges.

[player_tooltip player_id="919011" first="George" last="Mangas"], 6’4 SF Lima Shawnee 2021: Mangas is a scoring machine and had a strong case to win Mr. Basketball as a Junior for unbeaten Lima Shawnee. Mangas picked up right where he left off in his senior season and has continued to put up impressive scoring numbers. Mangas really understands how to move off ball and find open spaces on the court. He gets a bunch of baskets in transition and is smart about when to leak out in transition. I’m very excited to hopefully get my eyes on Mangas this Saturday when Shawnee takes on Trotwood-Madison. I believe Mangas is a no brainer Division I recruit and one of the most under-recruited players in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="555228" first="TJ" last="Pugh"], 6’5 SF Shelby 2021: Pugh has been very impressive for Shelby this season, with multiple 30+ point scoring games. At 6’5 he plays some point guard for Shelby, showing that he can be a secondary initiator at the college level. His physicality is very impressive for a small school prospect, as he won’t back down against the top prospects in the state. Pugh has a lot of Division II and low to mid major interest so far.

[player_tooltip player_id="1078606" first="Jared" last="Lary"], 6’5 SF Lutheran East 2021: Lary moved to Ohio from Michigan and stood out at the NEO Top 20 Combine with his length and shooting ability. While he hasn’t had the impact on the Falcons that we might’ve expected, I’m hoping Lary gels with his new teammates and helps the Falcons make a state-title run in Division III. For programs looking for a 3 and D wing with length, then Lary could be a guy to look into.

[player_tooltip player_id="918965" first="Amarion" last="Dickerson"] 6’6 SF Richmond Heights 2021: Dickerson can play either forward position, but I threw him in with the SF for this article. Dickerson is one of the most gifted athletes in the entire state as he has springs in his legs. Dickerson has improved his outside shooting as he used to be a guy you could completely ignore on the perimeter. I also thought Dickerson has put on some good weight since the last time I saw him before quarantine. Dickerson will thrive in an up tempo system that looks to trap and pressure opposing teams.

[player_tooltip player_id="918966" first="Chance" last="Groce"], 6’5 SF Linden-McKinley 2021: Groce finally got the chance to start his season last Monday as Columbus City League was the last league to finally return to play. Groce is somebody I’ve seen on film a couple times but never gotten the chance to watch in person, I’m hoping to catch their game against Beechcroft and give a more detailed scouting report after that game.

[player_tooltip player_id="918985" first="Jarius" last="Jones"], 6’5 SF Gahanna 2021: Jones plays on one of the best teams in the state in Gahanna, giving him plenty of opportunities to be seen in high level contests. Jones is one of the best wing defenders in the 2021 class, using his quick feet and frame. Jones played with a lot of confidence on the offensive end while playing for NOVA this summer, as the AAU style of play helped open up his offensive game. I’m very high on Jones as a guy who can get on the floor from day 1 with his defense, but he shows offensive flashes that should excite college coaches.
