When we look at the way the standing stand and where the RPI is, there are some teams that have been surprising. Each of these teams have some solid prospects that are a big reason for the good basketball that is being played.

Westlake (6A)

When it comes to Region 4 it is obvious that every night there will be a battle but most people across the state felt like with some of the pieces that came together for American Fork that they would be sitting in top of the region. Well, someone forgot to tell Westlake. Westlake is made up of players that have been playing with each other for a long time. They recently lost [player_tooltip player_id="933802" first="Hunter" last="Phillips"] for the year due to a torn ACL that happened in the 1st quarter against Corner Canyon on a dunk. The 6’9 prospect could be a LM player and he currently holds an offer from USU-E. Noah Madsen and [player_tooltip player_id="755630" first="Noah" last="McCord"] have been playing well all year and even better as of late. Both are a big reason Westlake is 4-0 right now in Region and the #1 team in the state. They are a mixture of skill toughness and defense. They wear teams down and find ways to win.

Taylorsville (6A)

If I were to tell you that Taylorsville would be undefeated in Region play right now after last year, you would probably think I was crazy but the Gavin Twins and [player_tooltip player_id="755645" first="Eric" last="Giang"] have been playing some great basketball. [player_tooltip player_id="967690" first="John" last="Gavin"] has found his shot from outside and they are simply getting great play from everyone on their team.

Copper Hills (6A)

Is Copper Hills the best team in Region 3, it could be as they sit on top currently and they boast an 8-3 record. [player_tooltip player_id="755670" first="Carson" last="Butler"], [player_tooltip player_id="968091" first="Quincy" last="Hills"] and [player_tooltip player_id="968093" first="McCoy" last="Langston"] have been playing excellent team basketball. Many thought that Riverton and Herriman would have tehir number this year but that is yet to be seen.

Sky View (4A)

While last season did not end they way many people envisioned as Sky View lost in the championship game against Dixie. Many tought that their window to win a Championship was closing. Sky View is playing really well and they also sit on top of their region. With only a few tough losses Sky View is ready to make another run. Evan Hall and Jackson Shuman have been playing really well, but they have a lot of player that are contributing.

Grand (3A)

Grand? Exactly, small school in a small town has some kids that can play. Two of them happen to be twins as well. Grand is 15-1 and 4-0 in Region play. Their only loss came to 4A Canyon View. They are lead by [player_tooltip player_id="1116087" first="Moroni" last="Seeley-Roberts"] a 6’6 W in the Class of 2022. He is averaging 24, 10, 3 & 3 which is very impressive. His brother [player_tooltip player_id="1116091" first="Malachi" last="Seeley-Roberts"] is putting up 14, 5, 6 & 2. This team is a must watch.
