<p>The state of North Carolina has about five weeks left in the high school basketball season. Here's a look at some prospects and the latest happenings in the state.</p>
<h4>Offers/Commitments</h4>
<p>Moravian Prep 2022 sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id="918978" first="Jackson" last="Holt"] is starting to generate some college attention. He was offered by Tusculum University over the weekend. He’s a member of the 2022 class that’s instant offense shooting the ball on the wing. Look for his stock to grow some more before the season ends.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="838050" first="Vante" last="Hutcherson"], a 2021 prospect at Wayne Country Day that’s racked up 11 double-doubles in the 2020-21 season, was recently offered by Johnston County Community College this past week. He’s a big man that’s had a breakout season in the Chargers’ rotation, racking up 11.7 ppg and 12.7 rpg in his senior season. Look for more colleges to gain his attention soon.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="932086" first="Bryce" last="Harris"] has been out of the radar for a bit but over the weekend, he made his college commitment to Howard University. He’s a prospect that can make an impact right away at the wing/forward position for the Howard Bison given his ability at 6-foot-6. Look for him to make some noise at the next level with his play.</p>
<h4>5 Prospects Worth Looking At</h4>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="838059" first="Jaheim" last="Taylor"] | 6’3 Guard/Wing | Princeton | 2021</h5>
<p>Taylor has the Bulldogs off to a 5-0 start following a career-high 41 points against Lakewood on Friday. He shot 16-of-27 from the field and 5-of-12 from behind the arc while also posting six rebounds, four assists and four steals in the victory. He’s a three-level threat that plays with a ton of energy on both ends. College coaches should take note.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="1113404" first="Carter" last="Seitz"] | 6’5 Forward | Lincoln Charter | 2021</h5>
<p>Seitz is a new face slowly climbing up the radar in the 2021 class. He’s averaging 13.3 ppg and 12.8 rpg in 2020-21 and has notched three double-doubles through four games. He’s been a rebounding machine for the Eagles in 2020-21 boosting his production a ton from his junior campaign. He’s quietly emerged as a new face worth noting in the Lincoln Charter rotation.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="945002" first="Dawson" last="McAlhany"] | 6’5 Guard/Wing | Bishop McGuinness | 2022</h5>
<p>Mcalhany has picked up where he left off since his sophomore season in 2020-21, leading the way for the Villains in a shortened season. He put up 24 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks in a 67-48 victory over North Stokes. He gets to his spots with ease on both ends and forces constant pressure on the defensive end. He’s got a nice stroke on his jump shot and is an aggressive driver to the basket.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="848088" first="Sam" last="Cogan"] | 6’3 Guard | Lincoln Charter | 2022</h5>
<p>Athletic-slashing guard Cogan has picked up where he left off from last season in 2020-21, putting up 22.2 ppg, 7.6 rpg, 3.4 apg and 2.6 spg including a season-high 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field along with 11 rebounds against Northwest Guilford back on Jan. 15. He’s got a ton of athleticism that he uses to snag rebounds and score the basketball on all three levels as Lincoln Charter is off to a 5-0 start.</p>
<h5>[player_tooltip player_id="577864" first="Nolan" last="Hodge"] | 6’5 Forward/Wing | Northern Guilford | 2022</h5>
<p>Hodge is another 2022 prospect off toe a hot start in NCHSAA action. He’s put up 27 points, 7 rebounds and two assists in the 74-44 victory over Morehead this past Friday. He’s producing 21.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.3 apg and 1.7 spg through their first six games of the season as they’re 6-0 on the season. He’s one to keep an eye on alongside <strong>Manny Elliott. </strong></p>
