The Union County Conference has been loaded with talent over the past couple of seasons. Roselle Catholic and the Patrick School have sent plenty of players to the D1 level and that should continue this season. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id="787669" first="Corey" last="Floyd Jr"]. announced his commitment to UConn yesterday and he is not the only available talent in the conference. Here are the top available 2021 prospects in the UCC.

[player_tooltip player_id="850511" first="Amar’e" last="Marshall"], 6’2 PG Roselle Catholic

The Lions are filled with D1 talent in the backcourt and that will not change with Marshall in the backcourt. The Montclair Immaculate transfer has a tight handle and beats his man off the bounce with consistency. Marshall is a crafty finisher around the basket and does not mind content. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and is a strong rebounder for a guard. Marshall is a play-maker who has the potential to make an impact at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="900310" first="Kunga" last="Tsering"], 6’6 SF Roselle Catholic

The second straight Lion on this list, Tsering is an interesting prospect to watch this season. The Hasbrouck Heights transfer has a nice touch around the basket and can finish above the rim. Tsering can handle the ball on the perimeter with the ability to get to the basket or shoot from distance. He uses his length to altar shots around the basket and is one of the top available rebounders in the class. Tsering is a lanky wing prospect who should be on the radar of college programs throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="900335" first="Derrick" last="Bueno"], 6’5 PF Roselle Catholic

Another Lion, Bueno is a talent who should make an impact right away. The Paramus Catholic transfer is a bull in the paint as he uses his strong frame to finish through contact. Bueno also has a nice release on his jumper and can get to the basket from the perimeter. He is tough to box out and knows how to get good position down low on defense. Bueno may be an undersized post player, but his toughness and skill makes him a prospect to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="900316" first="Ernest" last="Carter"], 6’0 PG Rahway

Rahway had a strong 2019-20 season and it should continue with Carter returning in the back court. The 6’0 guard is electric with the ball in his hands and gets into the lane with consistency. Carter is capable of putting up points in bunches with two 30-point games last season. He is an underrated passer and is a pesky on-ball defender. Carter is a talented guard prospect who is ready to have a big senior season for Rahway.

[player_tooltip player_id="900321" first="Al-Fatir" last="Connor"], 6’0 PG Elizabeth

The Minutemen have been one of the top Group 4 programs over the past two seasons and Connor has played a big role in that. The 6’0 guard is a true floor general who always plays with his head up in the half court and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands. Connor has a tight handle and is a crafty finisher around the basket. He is a tough on-ball defender and has extremely quick hands. Connor’s ability to control the offense will be very enticing for a program at the next level.
