New Year Scouting Report: Standout Performers

<p>To kick off the new year, I was able to attend some games. COVID has put some restrictions on attendance but luckily I was able to get my eyes on some players that stood out. A few of these players are top-ranked and some are prospects of the future. </p> <p>Here are the Standout Performers in no particular order. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="887017" first="Jalon" last="Moore"]</strong>, 6’7 G/F ,Gardendale C/O 2021: Has continued to prove why he’s an elite player. The first thing to take notice of is his patience with the ball, doesn’t force anything. Has a smooth game and can score with ease. He has the tremendous court vision and is quick to find an open teammate. Definitely a CLUTCH player that can step-up when needed to.</p> <p><strong>Vincent Reeves</strong>, 6’5 G, Shades Valley C/O 2021: Is what the basketball word call and All-Around-Player, both on the offensive end and defensively. Can get to the basket with his quick handles or take a step back with his glossy jumper. His defense is like no other, has an incredible shot-blocking ability. If you’re going up for a shot, be ready to get challenged. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="723758" first="Keshawn" last="Murphy"]</strong>, 6’10 PF, Ramsey C/O 2021: Brings back the term "Big Man." Understands that the paint is where he can show dominance. Most definitely puts a hurting on the rim when going to work. Has a decent pull-up jumper well and great handles for a player of his size. Challenging him at the rim is like running into a brick wall.</p> <p><strong>Jaedren O’Neal</strong>, 6’0 G, Gardendale C/O 2022: Jaedren is one word, SPEED! Has quick handles, and his ability to get to the basket is off the charts. No defender can stop this guy from scoring. He’s very aggressive on the defensive end, tries to help in every way possible to steal the ball. He’s an exciting player to watch. Has the potential to be a top-ranked guard next season.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="887032" first="Jordan" last="Bell"]</strong>, 6’5 SF, Williamson C/O 2021: Bell is as explosive as they come. He’s truly a slasher when attacking the rim. Has a nice shot from the perimeter. If a shot is missed best believe he’s going to get it and anyone in the way will pay dearly. When in the groove he can put on a show with his High Flying and spectacular dunks.</p>
