Oak Hill and Bishop Walsh were back in action on Saturday at the St. James NIBC Invitational. Here were some standouts from the Virginia and Maryland based teams only.

[player_tooltip player_id="957033" first="Malik" last="Bowman"] | Bishop Walsh ’23

Bowman had his best game of the weekend so far today against La Lumiere. He stood out as a disruptive presence around the rim defensively and posed matchup problems with his ability to shoot or get to the rim and finish at the basket. Bowman led Bishop Walsh with 11 points and 2 blocks. He made both his free throws and shot 1 of 4 from three.

[player_tooltip player_id="1091480" first="Camryn" last="Carter"] | Oak Hill ’21

Louisiana native [player_tooltip player_id="1091480" first="Camryn" last="Carter"] has only been at Oak Hill for a handful of months but already fits like a glove. The rangy guard is exceptional defensively and quick in transition. Carter filled the box score with 22 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, and 3 boards during Oak Hill’s comprehensive win over Wasatch.

[player_tooltip player_id="854886" first="Caleb" last="Foster"] | Oak Hill ’23

Despite being just a sophomore, [player_tooltip player_id="854886" first="Caleb" last="Foster"] looks like the court veteran. He’s a tall point guard who makes all the right plays and competes defensively. Foster dished out 7 assists, committed just 1 turnover, and swiped 2 steals to go along with 8 points and a blocked shot.

[player_tooltip player_id="902011" first="Ryan" last="Prather Jr."] | Bishop Walsh ’21

Ryan Prather is another player from Bishop Walsh who had his best game of the young season against La Lumiere. The versatile wing led his team with 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Prather scored 6 efficient points, going 2 of 2 from the line, and handed out one assist without committing a turnover. The numbers were nice, but his energy was what the team really needed. Prather was also very vocal on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id="1107821" first="Jalen" last="Reed"] | Oak Hill ’22

[player_tooltip player_id="1107821" first="Jalen" last="Reed"] was borderline unstoppable in the paint today. The athletic big man, who went a perfect 5 of 5 from the field, had some very forceful finishes at the rim. Reed was also terrific as a rim protector. He blocked four shots and altered multiple others.

[player_tooltip player_id="957885" first="Jalen" last="Ricks"] | Oak Hill ’21

[player_tooltip player_id="957885" first="Jalen" last="Ricks"] is the glue that keeps this Oak Hill team together. You can count on him to reverse the ball but also be aggressive when the opportunity presents itself. Ricks guards every position and is a deflection machine. He posted a full line with 17 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks, and 3 steals.
