<p>The Prep Hoops Showcase took place on Saturday in the Upstate at Greenville HS. The Showcase featured 5 games throughout the day at James "Slick" Moore Gymnasium. </p>
<p><em><strong>Travelers Rest HS 53 vs St Joseph's Catholic 40 </strong></em></p>

<p>The Devildogs pulled away in the second half to win the game. The Devildogs led 30-25 at the halftime break over the Knights. <strong>Jackson</strong> <strong>Duncan</strong> got the hot hand in the 2nd half and finished with 12 points in the win. <strong>Dillon King</strong> a senior guard added 10 points, while [player_tooltip player_id="910051" first="<strong>Jacob" last="Brown</strong>"] finished with 8 points in the win. </p>

Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1063431" first="Gannon" last="Stockton"]</strong> added 10 points and 9 rebounds while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="977001" first="Ben" last="Saunders"]</strong> chipped in with 8 points in the loss.</p>
<p><em><strong>Southside (Greenville) 51 Daniel HS (Central) 46 </strong></em></p>
<p>The Tigers and Lions were tied at the halftime intermission at 22-22. The Tigers and Lions battled throughout the game when post player <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1048144" first="Dyterrious" last="Williams"] </strong>fouled out for Southside HS with 2:21 left with the game tied at 46-46. Williams finished with 19 points on the night. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1113438" first="Tyree" last="Canada"]</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> came off the bench for the Tigers to provide 14 points in the win for the Southside HS Tigers. </span></p>

Jaylen Brown-Wallace came off the bench to score 10 points while<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="837335" first="Jahiem" last="Lawson"]</strong> contributed 8 points and several rebounds. </p>
<p><em><strong>Byrnes HS (Duncan) 64 vs North Augusta HS 45 </strong></em></p>
<p>The Rebels led from start to finish in this game today at the Prep Hoops Showcase. The Rebels (9-3) jumped out to a 29-10 halftime lead after outscoring the Yellow Jackets 20-2 in the second quarter. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1089955" first="Taviyon" last="Bruton"]</strong> was too much for the visitors from North Augusta HS. Bruton finished the game with 24 points while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927565" first="Dustin" last="Gillum"]</strong> chipped in with 17 points. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840273" first="Nick" last="Thiele"]</strong> finished the game with 11 points in the win. </p>

<p>The host Red Raiders battled the Fighting Green Hornets to the bitter end in this game. The Red Raiders led at halftime 38-37 despite the <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="840185" first="RJ" last="Felton"] </strong>scoring 17 points at the break. Greenville HS would have balance scoring all night long to prevail in this highly competitive game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930609" first="Prometheus" last="Franklin"]</strong> led the Red Raiders with 20 points, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837350" first="Josh" last="Sapp"]</strong> added 17 points, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930617" first="Aalijah" last="Kelly"]</strong> came off the bench to score 15 points while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927515" first="DJ" last="Johnson"]</strong> finished with 10 points. </p>

<p>Felton a East Carolina University signee tried to keep Aiken HS (5-6) in the game. Felton would finish with 35 points in the loss. Point guard <strong>Nate Holland</strong> added 13 points for the Fighting Green Hornets. </p>
<p><em><strong>Blythewood HS 64 Mauldin HS 49 </strong></em></p>
<p>The Bengals came up from the Midlands and defeated the local Mavericks in the nightcap. The Bengals roster consist of 12 juniors. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="746053" first="Emanuel" last="Richards"]</strong> was a beast inside the paint for the Bengals and led the way with 19 points.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="949980" first="Isaiah" last="Williams"]</strong> a left-handed forward added 12 points, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="594069" first="Julian" last="Phillips"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837333" first="Samaad" last="Wright"]</strong> both added 11 points. </p>
<p>The Mavericks were led in scoring by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1017696" first="Drake" last="Downs"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="780355" first="Caleb" last="Byrd"]</strong> both with 14 points a piece. </p>
