California’s Top Unsigned Seniors (Pt. 5)

<p>With the early signing period in the books and the state of California high school basketball still in flux due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we figured now would be a good time to highlight some of the state’s available seniors. In this series we’ll provide evaluations on the best available prospects in their final season of high school competition. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="951247" first="DJ" last="Sanders"]</strong>, Bonita Vista - Crafty left-handed scoring guard who is a consistent bucket from three levels. Prefers to drive and attack the basket where he uses his body control and ability to finish at awkward angles to score over bigs. Shifty ball handler and breaks defenders down in isolation.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> Smart defender with quick hands and great anticipation when shooting passing lanes for steals.</span></p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="747094" first="DJ" last="Allen"]</strong>, St. Anthony - Was injured much of his junior season, but prior to that was on track to be a Division 1 caliber wing. Has a long, wiry frame at 6-feet-7 and the ability to spread the floor with a consistent catch-and-shoot three-point shot. Prior to injury was starting to come along nicely with his vertical athleticism and defensive ability. Could be a late-add sleeper.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="747109" first="Tyson" last="Robinson"]</strong>, El Camino - High motor and tough point guard who thrives on the defensive end of the floor. Takes pride in applying pressure to ball handlers, forcing turnovers and creating easy transition offense. Capable catch-and-shooter in the half-court, but prefers to have the ball in his hands and get into the paint where he can draw and dish or finish around length.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="680242" first="Melo" last="Sanchez"]</strong>, Mater Dei Catholic - Has an old school style game where he can act as a point forward due to his high basketball IQ and court vision, while also operating off the ball with his face-up and mid-range scoring package. Can hit the catch-and-shoot three-pointer, but is best when he’s at the mid-post with his back to the basket. Great passer out of the post. Unselfish player who looks to get teammates involved and run offense.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
