Monsignor Martin League Top Returning Double-Double Threats

<p><b><i>Western New York is an underrated basketball hotspot chockful of promising, talented recruits. Below is a list of 5 players from the Monsignor Martin League with at least one season of eligibility remaining who are Double-Double threats each and every time they step on the court.</i></b></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chris Wright - Cardinal O’Hara - Class of 2022</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wright missed averaging a Double-Double by the slimmest of margins in 2019-2020. In 26 games, Wright scored 10.5 points per game while managing to pull down 9.9 rebounds per game. A 6’4” Forward, Wright’s best game of the season came in a January victory over Nichols. In addition to scoring 16 points, he pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds. Most impressive is the fact that nine of those rebounds came on the offensive glass. Wright totaled nine Double-Doubles in 2019-2020.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Peyton Consigli - St. Francis - Class of 2021</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Consigli, a 6’4” Shooting Guard, averaged 14.6 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game in 2019-2020. Consigli certainly finished the season stronger than he began it, which is a testament to both his work ethic and mental acumen. In a five-game stretch in the last month of the season, Consigli poured in 20.2 points per game, as well as rebounded at a 7.4 per-game clip. Consigli will attempt to build on his dominant final month of 2019-2020 in his upcoming Senior season.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="1046832" first="Kevin" last="Thompson"] - Bishop Timon-St. Jude - Class of 2022</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After a 2018-2019 Freshman season in which he posted just 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per game, Thompson worked on all facets of his game tirelessly. His efforts culminated in a breakout sophomore campaign in which he averaged 12.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 26 total games in 2019-2020. Now an upperclassman, Thompson will shoulder an even larger burden for the Tigers this season.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Amiel Collins - St. Francis - Class of 2021</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In 2019-2020, Collins nearly matched his backcourt mate Peyton Consigli’s production. Collins managed 12.4 points per game and 4.6 rebounds per game in 25 total contests. Though his team was eliminated from the Monsignor Martin League Champions Cup Series by St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute on February 29th, 2020, Collins did all he could to keep his team alive.
