Weekend Wonders: Class of 2021

The Class of 2021 has been a group known for being a deep class talent wise. This group of prospects below all play different roles on their teams but have proven themselves in the short season so far. Davidson Day Forward Blaine St Clair normally plays on the wing but for his high school squad he’s playing more of a stretch forward position. Using his IQ for the game and his overall strength, he was very successful making plays and rebounding at a high level. He’s made his college decision already and will be attending Army next year. New Life Christian Guard Ricardo Polk has been a bright spot for his squad as their have seen their share of early season struggles. He has deep range on his three point shot and doesn’t back down from challenges. In their matchup with CFCA on Thursday night, he went for a team high of 15 points. Scotland Christian came up short in their matchup with Fayetteville Christian but Guard [player_tooltip player_id="932125" first="Brodie" last="Clark"] did his best to help his squad. Clark went for 30 Points in the matchup, showcasing the scoring ability from multiple levels. He has already made his college choice and will be staying home to play at St.Andrews University. Berean Baptist Academy Guard Derik Canady has proven himself as a college prospect over the last few months and he displayed that against Trinity Christian. Derik went for 18 Points in their loss to the Crusaders but one thing is for certain, every time he laces his sneakers up, he’s going to compete. Cape Fear Christian Forward Paul Tacko is a solid overall prospect that colleges should be keeping an eye on. He’s about 6’6/6’7 and can play inside the paint but also has a smooth shooting stroke that he uses to knock down the trey ball at a high rate.
