Returning Stat Leaders: Top 1A Rebounders

<p>The 1A division is the smallest division in the state, yet it was home to some big-time single-season performers. While the league lost a lot of their productions, there are still several returning stars. In this article, PH takes a look at the top returning rebounders from the 1A division. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="859668" first="Enrique" last="Villalobos"] <em>6’3 C McDermitt 2022</em> (#75PHN 2022) - The post from McDermitt snagged everything last season. He only averaged a little over 11 boards per game. I say only because he had some monster games including 24 boards against Lund. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="985626" first="Joshua" last="Valencia"] <em>6’3 C Green Valley Christian 2023</em> (#32PHN 2023) - The big post was a load last year. He did his thing in the paint. When he wasn’t scoring he was grabbing every missed shot. Valencia averaged nearly 9 boards per game including a run of 6 straight double-digit efforts. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="927168" first="Douglass" last="Lee"] <em>6’0 SG Oasis 2021</em> (#99PHN 2021) - Lee did a terrific job of rebounding from the backcourt. He highlighted a season where he averaged 8 rebounds per game with a 14 board performance against Sage Ridge. </p> <p>Jacob Ferrenburg-Pike <em>6’2 SF Oasis 2022</em> - Lee’s running mate JFP brought it last year. He did damage on the boards throughout the season, He averaged just under 8 boards per game, highlighted by a 15 rebound performance against Tonapah. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="990584" first="David" last="Thurman"] <em>6’3 PF Green Valley Christian 2022</em> (#77PHN 2022) - Thurman is a versatile player that contributes in a variety of ways. One of those ways is on the glass, as he averaged over 7 boards per game last year. </p> <p>Nate Mulvaney <em>5’11 PG Sage Ridge 2021</em> - Mulvaney made his mark on the season with his consistent rebounding ability. He had 16 games with 7 rebounds or more.
