Bauer has double-double
Last night saw Loogootee dominate Crawford County 50-33 in both team’s season opener. The biggest highlight of the game, which should be no surprise, was senior power forward Silas Bauer Silas Bauer 6'5" | PF Loogootee | 2021 State IN adding another double-double to his career stats. With 16 points and 12 rebounds, Bauer looked impressive as usual. Look for him to continue his dominance against Evansville Day this Saturday.
Wesley goes off in win
South Bend Riley was able to get a huge win over LaPorte last night, 69-48. Riley was lead by recent Notre Dame commit Blake Wesley Blake Wesley 6'5" | SG South Bend Riley | 2021 State #95 Nation IN with 33 points. Wesley is one of the top players in the state and started off his senior season in the right way. His teammate Jackson Copley dropped 13 points as well. Riley will host Jimtown next week.
Carmel survives Columbus North
In a battle of two of 4A’s top teams, Carmel was able to defeat Columbus North 61-51. The leading scorer of the night was Carmel’s Peter Suder Peter Suder 6'5" | SG Carmel | 2022 State #227 Nation IN with 22 points while his teammate Brian Waddell Brian Waddell 6'5" | SF Carmel | 2021 State IN helped with 16 points. On the Columbus North side, Army commit Blake Barker Blake Barker 6'2" | PG Columbus North | 2021 State IN dropped 20 points and his teammate Cooper Horn Cooper Horn 6'2" | SG Columbus North | 2023 State IN was able to drop 14 points. Both teams looked really good in this one but Carmel just had a little more production than Columbus North. Carmel will host Lawrence Central next while Columbus North will play at Jennings County.
