<p>If you look at the majority of good teams on any level of basketball they have a solid point or lead guard. This player comes in many sizes, skillsets, and more importantly mentalities.</p>
<p>The state is and has always been littered with high major point guard talent. And with the recent successes of 2020 NBA Lottery pick, Kira Lewis to this year’s top 10 nationally ranked JD Davidson the state is primed to put out more high-level point guards.</p>
<p>Here is a list of guys who are arguably the best in the state regardless of when they are set to graduate.</p>

[player_tooltip player_id="725169" first="Antonio" last="Kite"] 2022: Elite athleticism, Very good passer, Deep range off the dribble and catch. Ability to control the pace and get teammates involved.</a></p>
<p><a class="d-flex align-items-center" href="https://prephoops.com/player/joshua-williams/">3. [player_tooltip player_id="801047" first="Greedy" last="Williams"] 2021: Elite handle, scoring ability from all 3 levels. High IQ, very good defensively on and off the ball. High assist to turnover ratio.</a></p>

[player_tooltip player_id="833333" first="RJ" last="Johnson"] 2023: Great size for the position, Strong body that will only get better as he continues to mature. He has very good athleticism and is virtually unstoppable at getting to the basket.</a></p>

[player_tooltip player_id="725172" first="Calen" last="Lightford"] 2022: A pure shooter from the PG position with the ability to run a team and get others involved. For his size he has good strength and athleticism. With elite speed from end to end.</a></p>

[player_tooltip player_id="836580" first="JaMari" last="Arnold"] 2023: A scoring guard that can shoot it from deep and also get to the paint with ease. Has a good handle and vision and will only improve all aspects of his game as he gets stronger.</a></p>

[player_tooltip player_id="902721" first="Johntarius" last="Green"] 2023: Another scoring lead guard that should see his numbers drastically improve this season. He has really developed his body this year and should be primed and ready to lead his team back to Birmingham.</a></p>

He can get to any spot on the floor faster than anybody else. He finishes very well around the basket and also can shoot it from deep. A foot injury has setback his senior season but once back he will be hard to deal with.</a></p>
<p><a class="d-flex align-items-center" href="https://prephoops.com/player/quandre-burroughs/">9. [player_tooltip player_id="886995" first="Quandre" last="Burroughs"] 2021: A walking bucket. With multiple big-time scoring outings already this season including a 49 point outburst has moved him up into the top 10 of PG's.</a></p>
<p><a class="d-flex align-items-center" href="https://prephoops.com/player/jacari-lane/">10. [player_tooltip player_id="725171" first="Jacari" last="Lane"] 2022: The smooth operator. He has a grace to his game and is virtually impossible to stay in front of. He thrives in transition and is an improving shooter. Easily considered one of the top pg's in the state.</a></p>
