Week one of the regular season is complete, and that only means one thing.
I’m ready to list the top performers from the week.
This is a good list.
T.J. Madlock, Houston: The senior point guard led the Mustangs with 21 points in their 82-59 win over Olive Branch.
Mason Miller, Houston: The senior forward finished with 20 points against the ‘Quistors.
Terry Joyner Jr., Olive Branch: The junior wing led the ‘Quistors with 26 points against Houston.
Kaeden Laws, Center Hill: The UAPB commit led the Mustangs with 24 points in their 68-56 loss at ECS.
Zandon Haralson, Center Hill: Haralson had 15 points against the Eagles.
Kameron Jones, ECS: The Marquette commit led the Eagles with 21 points against Center Hill. Thomas Kizer and Mason Shropshire had 12. Sylvester Ford and Dominic Brown each provided 10.
Will Farris, Bartlett: The senior point guard led the Panthers with 21 points in their 60-56 win at Fayette Ware.
Calvin Jennings, Bartlett: Jennings had 12 points and 14 rebounds against the Wildcats.
JaSteven Walker, Fayette Ware: The junior big man had 12 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks against Bartlett.
Jordan Hamilton, Fayette Ware: Hamilton had 16 points against the Panthers. Harmonta Griggs had 12 points.
Chandler Jackson, Christian Brothers: The junior point guard had 15 points, six rebounds and four assists in the Purple Wave’s 76-54 win over Bartlett.
Reese McMullen, Christian Brothers: The University of Pennsylvania commit had 17 points and four assists against the Panthers. Harrison Kelly finished with 12 and Eli Federman added eight points and eight rebounds.
Bobby Westbrooks, St. Benedict: The senior guard had 19 points and 10 rebounds in his team’s 51-47 win over Fayette Academy.
Adam Barbieri, St. Benedict: Barbieri had 11 points and four assists against the Vikings.
Landon Smith, Adamsville: The senior wing had 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 67-47 loss to Alcorn Central.
Malik Dia, Ensworth: Dia had 29 points in a 97-87 win over Siegel. Freshman guard Zachiah Clark had 18 points. Skyy Clark and Tony Gaines each finished with 17.
Matthew Schneider, Siegel: Schneider led the Stars with 30 points in their loss to Ensworth. Zion Swader added 25. Schneider hit the 1,000-point mark this week.
Davon Barnes, Collierville: Barnes had 25 points and eight rebounds in the Dragons’ 70-52 at Haywood. Jordan Jenkins Jordan Jenkins 6'2" | SG Webb School-Bell Buckle | 2021 State TN added 14 points and three assists.
Austin Abernathy, Fayette Academy: The senior guard had 14 points in the Vikings’ 75-14 win over Tipton Christian. Luke Moore also had 14 points.
Andrew Payne, Fayette Academy: Payne had 15 points in the Vikings’ loss to St. Benedict. Abernathy added 12.
Jensen Linton, Eagleville: Linton had 16 points in the Eagles’ win over Summertown. Rhett Deaton added 14.
Jordan Harris, East Hamilton: Harris led his team with 19 points, three rebounds and two steals in the 52-44 win over Dalton. Darwin Randolph had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Marcus Long added 10 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and four assists.
Long also had 25 points in a 71-67 win over Morristown East. Harris added 21.
In a 61-56 win over Wilson Central, Randolph and Harris each scored 13 points. Long added 12.
JaQuan Lax, Bolivar Central: Lax had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the 70-54 win over Chester County.
Isaiah Jones, Arlington: Jones had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the Tigers’ win over John Paul II. Anthony Medlock Anthony Medlock 6'5" | SG Germantown | 2023 State TN had 21 points. Javar Daniels added 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Phil Dotson III was another double-digit scorer for Arlington, finishing with 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Micah Simpson, Morristown East: The junior point guard had 24 points, eight rebounds and six assists in a 58-52 loss to Oak Ridge.
Braden Zapp, CPA: Zapp led the Lions with 26 points in their win over John Paul II. He connected on five 3s. Jordan DeWalt had 18 points and was a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line.
Jake Dykstra added 17 points and made five 3s. Evan Shiflet provided 15 points. Braeden Moore had a double-double (10 points and 11 rebounds).
As a team, CPA made 13 3-pointers.
