<p>There used to be a time when being called an athlete meant that you excelled at all sports. With so many of today’s athletes focusing on specialization, we wanted to take the time to highlight those multi-sport stars. In this article, PH takes a look at the top two-sport stars in the state. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="858164" first="Fernando" last="Carmona"] 6’5 C Las Vegas 2021 </p>
<p><em>Sports:</em> Basketball, Football </p>
<p><em>Analysis:</em> Carmona is a bruising center on one of the top 4A teams, and at Tight End that has accepted a Division 1 offer to play at San Jose St University.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="986767" first="Grayson" last="Grinsell"] 6’1 SG Reno 2022</p>
<p><em>Sports:</em> Basketball, Baseball </p>
<p><em>Analysis:</em> Grinsell averaged over 7ppg as a sophomore at Reno last season. On the mound, he is a dominating pitcher that has verbally committed to the University of Oregon. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="927131" first="Matt" last="Morton"] <em>6’5 SF Boulder City 2021</em> </p>
<p><em>Sports:</em> Basketball, Football </p>
<p><em>Analysis:</em> Morton is a Swiss Army Knife type for Boulder City’s hoops team. On the Gridiron he is a two-way player that stars at Tight End and in the defensive backfield. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="987081" first="Aaron" last="Holloway"] 5’11 SG Legacy 2021 </p>
<p><em>Sports:</em> Basketball, Football </p>
<p><em>Analysis:</em> Holloway is an explosive R&J athlete. He uses his bounce to both snag rebounds and passes. He led the state in receiving yards last season. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="927159" first="Moliki" last="Matavao"] 6’7 C Liberty 2021 </p>
<p><em>Sports:</em> Basketball, Football </p>
<p><em>Analysis: </em>Matavoa may be the best screen setter in high school basketball. It should come as no surprise as the nationally-ranked tight end caught 7 touchdown passes last season en route to helping the dethrone Gorman and capture the state title. </p>
