Updated Class of 2022 Rankings: Top Posts

<p>The Class of 2022 rankings have been updated and it’s time to take a look at the top players by position. Here’s a look at the top posts for this iteration of the rankings.</p> <p><strong>#3 - [player_tooltip player_id="857346" first="Luke" last="Johnson"] (2022 Central Catholic)</strong></p> <p>As it’s usually the case, there aren’t a lot of top-level true posts in the state in this class but there are guys who will put up there for the purposes of this list. That’s the case with Johnson, who will spend a lot of time in the post at 6-foot-8 but the reality is he’s more of a forward. The junior runs the floor as a rim runner, finishes above the rim, and has a soft touch on his face-up jumper. Johnson also isn’t afraid to mix it up inside against anybody.</p> <p><strong>#4 - [player_tooltip player_id="857342" first="Dallon" last="Morgan"] (2022 Sprague)</strong></p> <p>Morgan will play post for Sprague once again but the 6-foot-10 junior will be a stretch 4/5 at the college level. His preference in the past has actually been to spot up for long range jumpers as he has range out past the three-point line, but he’s started to get more comfortable down on the block. Morgan holds an early offer from Montana State and other schools have been in touch.</p> <p><strong>#26 - [player_tooltip player_id="857357" first="Huxley" last="Martin"] (2022 Roosevelt)</strong></p> <p>Martin continues to develop as a player and after playing the past two seasons at Benson will shift over to Roosevelt where he will have a similar role as he’s instantly the team’s tallest player. Martin does his best spotting up shooting corner threes on offense but has the length to really rebound and disrupt shot attempts in the paint.</p> <p><strong>#46 - [player_tooltip player_id="1005079" first="Koa" last="Bacci"] (2022 Lake Oswego)</strong></p> <p>Bacci played JV last season at Southridge but will likely earn a lot of playing time this upcoming season at Lake Oswego. He’s a rock-solid 6-foot-8 and runs the floor fairly well. While not a true post, he can score some inside and also face up and hit open mid-range jumpers. Bacci is still developing as a prospect but there is upside.</p> <p><strong>#48 - [player_tooltip player_id="1005080" first="Damian" last="Ball"] (2022 Cascade)</strong></p> <p>Finally, our first true post in the class comes with Ball. He’s a true 6-foot-10 and at the 4A level, is most effective down low. He has some basic post moves and a decent touch in the paint offensively, but his true effectiveness has come on the defensive end as a shot eraser. Ball is the son of a coach and his older brother currently plays at Corban.</p>
