#10 – Malik Ross Malik Ross 6'0" | CG Tualatin | 2022 State OR (2022 Tualatin)
Ross is a true combo guard in that he plays both the point and the shooting guard positions equally well. With Elite 24 this off-season, he’s largely started off more on the wing where he capably showed off his scoring ability but shifted over to the point at times to run the offense. Ross is extremely strong which allows him to absorb contact and finish plays around the rim and his perimeter shooting has improved.
#19 – Kyle Hamnes Kyle Hamnes 5'10" | CG Century | 2022 OR (2022 Century)
Hamnes is a no-nonsense, gritty combo guard that really looks to attack the basket whenever he gets the chance. At 5-foot-10 he knows how to score over bigger players in the paint and also has a very nice touch from three-point range. Hamnes is projected to take over more point guard duties this upcoming year at Century as he continues his development as a player.
#22 – Jordan McCarty Jordan McCarty 6'0" | CG Silverton | 2022 State OR (2022 Silverton)
McCarty broke into the regular rotation as a sophomore and split ball-handling and scoring duties with one of Silverton’s all-time greats, David Gonzales David Gonzales 5'11" | PG Silverton | 2020 State OR . The 6-foot guard is a solid all-around player, a good shooter with a great feel for the game – not surprising since his father Jamie is the Silver Foxes head coach. McCarty is also the quarterback of the football team, so he’s a natural leader.
#25 – Zeke Viuhkola Zeke Viuhkola 6'1" | CG West Linn | 2022 State OR (2022 West Linn)
Another coach’s kid, Viuhkola has slowly worked his way up in the rotation at West Linn under his father Eric. Now over 6-feet, he’s grown both in height and in strength, and that has helped him play more confidently on the basketball floor. Viuhkola can do a bit of it all on the floor and offensively can score at all three levels. He won’t often play at the point since Jackson Shelstad Jackson Shelstad 6'0" | PG West Linn | 2023 State #55 Nation OR will always be around, but he’s capable of being a floor leader.
#27 – Landon Thom Landon Thom 6'2" | CG Westside Christian | 2022 State OR (2022 Westside Christian)
Thom was on his way to a historic season last year at Westside Christian before suffering a foot injury that completely changed the course of the season. The 6-foot-2 is back to 100 percent now though and is another do-it-all type of guard who has a physically mature body. Thom will be playing with Deep III in club ball with the hopes of helping Westside go far in the 4A playoffs.
