In anticipation of this, we will be rolling out preview content over the next several weeks. Here is a look at the Preseason All-Senior Teams for DC Public Schools.
First Team
G – Rasheed Dupree Rasheed Dupree 5'5" | PG KIPP | 2021 State MD
Dupree’s distinguished resume speaks for itself. The guy wins games. Period.
G – Michael Aiken Michael Aiken 5'9" | PG Thurgood Marshall | 2021 State MD
Aiken (pictured) has been on the map since his freshman year at TMA. It’s been a joy to watch him grow into the amazing player he’s become.
G – Jasir Tremble Jasir Tremble 5'9" | PG Theodore Roosevelt | 2021 State MD
Tremble broke out against Wilson last year and managed to carry that momentum all the way through the high school season into the fall at the PYBL Showcase. He’s legit.

G – Saveon Jackson Saveon Jackson 6'0" | CG KIPP | 2021 State MD
Jackson is a do-it-all type who you want on your side when things get tight. He’s a flat-out winner.
F – Maurice Johnson Maurice Johnson 6'4" | SF Cesar Chavez | 2021 State MD
Johnson was an easy pick to make the first team. He led the DC Metro Area in scoring in a year where he regularly flirted with 30 points per game.
Second Team
G – DaJuan McMillan
McMillan has been a potent offensive weapon for Coach Shackelford at Friendship Tech for a while now. You could certainly make a strong case that he deserves to make the first team.
Congrats to DaJuan McMillan on earning Team MVP at the North Point Tournament🏀💯🏆📡 pic.twitter.com/NkcvT9Ez59

G – Miasiah Brown Miasiah Brown 6'2" | CG Woodrow Wilson | 2021 State MD
Brown was another tough omission from the first team. He’s a solid college prospect who makes a tremendous impact on the defensive side of the ball.
G – Jamiyl Kirkland Jr. Jamiyl Kirkland Jr. 6'2" | CG Friendship Tech | 2021 State MD
Kirkland is a big guard who is a nice compliment to McMillan in the Tech Prep back-court. He can play with or without the ball and is dangerous in transition.
F – Chris Mateo Chris Mateo 6'5" | SF Dunbar (DC) | 2021 State MD
Mateo has been an underappreciated glue guy at Dunbar who can do more but knows how to play his role. He is a solid three-and-D wing prospect who should be in line for a big season.
F – Christian De La Rosa Christian De La Rosa 6'5" | C EL Haynes | 2021 State MD
Energy is DeLaRosa’s calling card, and he brings it every time he steps on the floor. He’s an important part of what they do at EL Haynes.
Third Team
G – Michael Cheadle Michael Cheadle 5'7" | PG Dunbar | 2021 State MD
Cheadle keeps the ball on a string and knows what to do with it. He emerged as a reliable playmaker for Dunbar last season and earned a spot on this list.
Dunbar's 21' G Michael Cheadle 2020 DCIAA All Tournament Team! Relentless on both ends of the floor. More to come next year. Look out!! #RollTide @Tooshiftymike2 @DciaaSports @DCSAASports @DunbarDCSports @CoachJspinks @Houzmazoo @DaFuture32 @muddywater30 @_ThatSportsDude pic.twitter.com/kCQln5mtXm

G – Mark Aiken Mark Aiken 5'10" | CG Thurgood Marshall | 2021 State MD
Aiken’s importance at TMA should not be understated. He’s obviously a great compliment to his brother in the back-court and is a good player as well.
G – Nasir Best Nasir Best 6'2" | PG Woodrow Wilson | 2021 State MD
Best fills a myriad of roles at Wilson. He can initiate offense and defend, which makes him a simple choice for the third team.
G – Ya’Qin Staton Ya’Qin Staton 6'3" | CG Friendship Tech | 2021 State MD
Staton is another good defender who makes the list because he can play both ends of the floor. He is in good form this fall and looks fully recovered over a year removed from his knee injury.
F – Stanley Marsh Stanley Marsh 6'4" | PF Thurgood Marshall | 2021 State MD
On a relatively undersized team at TMA, Marsh brings some muscle in the paint. He is an indispensable part of that team and is included on this list as a result.
