Jeremiah Johnson stood out with his energy at the guard position. Johnson flies around defensively and offensively plays within the team confines and doesn’t try to do too much. He was solid in the open court and helped out in a variety of ways. He’s not going to be flashy, but the more you watch his game, the more you appreciate his consistency.
2022 6-5 W Sebastian Tidor Sebastian Tidor 6'5" | SF East Paulding | 2022 State GA – East Paulding
Sebastian didn’t have a great day scoring the ball, but like he often does, he made his presence felt in different ways. He rebounded at a high level and kept the ball moving on offense. He caught a reverse alley-oop, one of the day’s highlights. Tidor has a lot of enviable tools. He’s super long, has good hands and has a great motor. He opened camp with 8 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.
2022 6-2 G Joseph Bell – Central-Carrollton
The leaping ability of Joseph Bell caught everyone’s attention. He’s a thin, unassuming guard that doesn’t stand out at first glance, but when he gets into the air, he’s got exceptional hangtime that helps him play above the rim. Bell was on the receiving end of lobs throughout the day. His athleticism helps him finish inside over shot blockers. One thing that stood out even more than his bounce was his willingness to make the right play. He drew a charge in camp – always something that piques my interest.
2021 6-5 W Kervens Yacinthe Kervens Yacinthe 6'5" | SF Paulding County | 2021 State GA – Paulding County
Though he didn’t have a trademark offensive eruption, Kervens Yacinthe Kervens Yacinthe 6'5" | SF Paulding County | 2021 State GA still put the ball in the basket. He scored 16 points in his first game to go along with 5 rebounds and 2 assists. His three-point shot was off, but Yacinthe was able to score in the paint to make up for it. He’s been one of the most reliable scorers I’ve seen over the offseason. The southpaw is a good D-II prospect with upside.
2021 6-4 F Donte Colton – Newnan
Super long, Donte Colton looked and played much taller than 6-foot-4. He could be a late bloomer with his best basketball ahead of him. Colton is springy and uses his length to rebound and protect the rim. He displayed a respectable outside shot and had some nice drives baseline. Colton was at his best when he stayed aggressive and attacked the paint. Small schools will want to keep Colton on their radar moving forward.
2021 5-9 PG Chase Ellis Chase Ellis 6'4" | SF St. Francis | 2020 State GA – Bremen
Chase Ellis Chase Ellis 6'4" | SF St. Francis | 2020 State GA shot the ball well from deep. The undersized point guard had range and would pull from distance. He had a little bit of a funky shot that would see him twist his body on release, but he found the bottom of the net often. Ellis played hard and didn’t try to do anything out of his area of expertise.
