<p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong><u>Hoop Review Evaluation Workout- Tuesday, September 22</u></strong></p> <p><strong><u> </u></strong></p> <p>Here is a report on the Hoop Review evaluation workout on Tuesday September 22<sup>nd</sup> at Slam Academy in Hayward. The event was a matchup between Stanco Stampede from Turlock and the Santa Clara All-Stars.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Stanco Stampede</u></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>5’9 SG Nick Criscione of Turlock HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Criscione is a hard-working two guard who seems to find ways to get things done.</p> <p>He handles it ok and has a capable pull- game in the half court. He can get to the basket on the drive and he shoots the ball fairly well with 3 range. He is able to catch and shoot effectively.</p> <p>Criscione moves well without the ball and his motor is always running.</p> <p>He is works hard at the defensive end and he is a decent rebounder.</p> <p>Criscione is the type of player who will provide a spark for a team with his effort.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6’3 SG Michael Heidelbach of Turlock HS 2022</strong></p> <p>Heidelbach is a shooting guard with a gunslinger’s mentally. He will fire away at will. He can shoot it off the dribble as well as catch and shoot and he has long range.</p> <p>He is a capable ball hander and passer who can put it down and get to the basket on the drive. And he does a pretty good job of moving without the ball.</p> <p>Heidelbach needs to show more at the defensive end and play in attack mode like he does on offense.</p> <p>But if you are a college coach and you are looking for a shooter in the 2022 class you need to check him out.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>5’11 CG Daniel Malagon of Turlock HS 2022</strong></p> <p>Malagon is a competitive combo guard who brings smarts, talent and hustle to the table. When you watch him pay you have a real good feeling about him.</p> <p>He is fairly athletic with burst and he never stops running. He’s a solid ball handler and a good and willing passer.</p> <p>Malagon has a nice pull-up game in the half court and he moves fairly well without the ball. He is a good-looking shooter with 3-range. He takes good shots and is effective at catch and shoot.</p> <p>Malagon has a nice hesitation move on the drive and can break down defender one on one.</p> <p>He gives a consistent effort as an on-ball defender</p> <p>This is a player with a nice motor who is a legit prospect in the 2022 class.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6’0 SG Anthony Mendoza of Turlock HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Mendoza is an active two-guard with a solid all-around package. He can impact the game in a lot of different ways.</p> <p>He’s a competent ball handler and passer with an effective pull-up game, both in transition and in the half court.</p> <p>Mendoza is in constant motion without the ball. He can shoot the ball well mid-range and ok from 3. He has a somewhat deceptive first step on the drive.</p> <p>He is a capable defender and does a solid job rebounding from the guard position.</p> <p>Mendoza does belong on the class of 2021 radar and coaches need to check him out.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>5’11 PG/SG [player_tooltip player_id="947859" first="Cameron" last="Walker"] of Turlock HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Walker is a skilled and athletic point guard who has really come into his own as a player. He has “arrived” as the say…</p> <p>He’s a very confident ball handler who pushes the break consistently and makes a ton of plays. He is a good passer who sees the floor well and can hit the open man on the run impressively.</p> <p>Walker shoots the ball well with long range and a lot of confidence. He has nice burst and an impressive first step on the drive. And he is able to finish in traffic quite well. He does have a clever floater shot as well.</p> <p>Walker penetrates in the lane consistently and makes plays for himself and others.</p> <p>He is making strides at the defensive end and is a competent rebounder from the guard position.</p> <p>Walker is a legit prospect! Coaches need to get on him yesterday.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>5’11 CG Tyson Weatherbee of Turlock HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Weatherbee is a tough-minded combo guard with an ideal approach to the game. He knows how to play and he competes on every play.</p> <p>He is a solid ball handler who makes good decisions. He can pass it and he is unselfish.</p> <p>Weatherbee moves well without the ball and he can pull up in the half court. He has a funny-looking shot but he can knock them down (with 3 range). And he finds a way to hoop on the drive.</p> <p>He will battle at the defensive end consistently and aggressively.</p> <p>Effort and high IQ are two of Weatherbee’s trademarks.</p> <p>Coaches will clearly see that when they check him out.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Santa Clara All-Stars</u></strong></p> <p><strong><u> </u></strong></p> <p><strong>5’11 CG Dylan Diashyn of Wilcox HS 2022</strong></p> <p>Diashyn is a combo guard with a nice all-around skill set who does a nice job fitting into a team.</p> <p>He handles it ok and he has a capable pull-up game. He can pass it and he does play unselfishly. He shows some ability to finish in transition.</p> <p>Diashyn moves ok without it and he is a good set shooter with long range who has a lot of confidence in his shot. He can catch and shoot or shoot off the dribble. And he can get to the basket on the drive.</p> <p>There is some hustle to his game that any coach can appreciate, and he does belong on the class of 2022 radar.</p> <p><strong>6’0 CG Isaiah Frazier of Wilcox HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Frazier is a versatile and athletic combo guard with a pretty complete all-around package. He impacts the game in a lot of ways. And he is a bonafide team leader.</p> <p>He handles it well and usually makes good decisions. He is an effective playmaker in transition who passes the ball well. And he pulls up confidently at the end of the break.</p> <p>Frazier moves well without it and is comfortable playing on or off the ball. He is a streaky shooter and he can knock them down when it matters most. He’s a solid driver who knows how to finish. And he has a competent floater.</p> <p>He is a good on-ball defender who can make it tough for the opponent and a legit rebounder from the guard position.</p> <p>Fraizer is a real solid prospect for the next level in the 2021 class.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>5’11 SG Solomon Gebre of Wilcox HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Gebre is an athletic two guard with burst who gets your attention by doing the little things and by his ability to shoot it (with range).</p> <p>He has a little bit of a slow release, but he can fill it up with a lot of confidence. You are in trouble if you leave him open. And it is quite impressive to watch him do all the little things to help a team be successful.</p> <p>Gebre handles it well and has a decent pull up game and he is a capable driver. And he moves fairly well without it.</p> <p>He probably can show a little more at the defensive end.</p> <p>College coaches-he will catch your eye if you watch him play.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6’6 SF Zach Granberry of Mitty HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Granberry is a three man who is a big-time marksman from long range.</p> <p>He has a very impressive- looking shot and he takes pretty god shots. He is quite effective at catch and shoot and he is ok off the bounce. If you need a bucket at the end this is the guy you run the play for.</p> <p>Granberry handles it ok and he is a good and willing passer. He has a solid floater and he’s a decent driver. And he moves fairly well without it.</p> <p>He rebounds it ok and does a pretty good job of blocking out.</p> <p>He has possibilities for the next level and coaches need to get him on their radar.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6’6 PF/C [player_tooltip player_id="946532" first="Harry" last="Nauci"] of Santa Clara HS 2021</strong></p> <p>Nauci is a strong and active combo postman who impact the game in a number of ways</p> <p>He is an excellent passer who makes a LOT of money passes. He sees the court well and WILL hit the open man.</p> <p>Nauci is a legit post up player. He has good hands and he can dribble operate and he has a solid drop step move and a turnaround shot. He can also step outside and hit 3-point shot as well.</p> <p>His best asset is his ability to rebound the ball. He is Rodman-esque in his pursuit of the ball. He will go after it aggressively.</p> <p>Nauci is going to play at the next level. Time will tell what level he ends up at.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
