PreSeason JAM is a fall basketball event for High School varsity squads that was held in Humble, TX on September 19-20 ran by Ball So Hard Scouting Service. 12 Teams participated in the event and 10 prospects that are ranked by Prep Hoops Texas. Each team played in a total of 4 games and here are some of the top performers from the event.

Cameron Morrison 6’5" F | Atascocita HS | 2021

Cam was a walking double-double at the event he averaged 15.2 points per game and snatched up 10 rebounds per game. He’s very patient in the offense and has a great skill set with the ball on the low post. He may lack the height but has the moves and strength to bang down low. he also averaged 1.2 blocks per game and helped his squad go 3-1 overall in the event. He runs the floor really well and outlets the ball very quickly with really good floor vision. Expect for Cam to have a big senior campaign for a team that is loaded and will be a preseason top 5 team in 6A when the rankings are released. He currently holds an offer from the University of St. Thomas, college coaches don’t miss out on a chance to recruit this prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="889583" first="Kemauri" last="Millender"] 6’1" PG | Clear Brook HS | 2023

Kemo is picking up right where he left off last season as a sophomore as he was the teams leading scorer. He also led them in this event as well with a 20 points per game average as they went 2-2 at the event. Tough on-ball defender that is scrappy and has really good floor vision as well offensively. he averaged 3.5 steals per game and dropped 2.2 assists per game as well. He was able to get to the rim as he pleased and his outside game continues to improve as he is making trey balls at a much higher rate than he was before. Kemo holds an offer from UTRGV right now but is a guard that coaches should definitely put on their radar.

[player_tooltip player_id="1047788" first="A.J." last="Ferguson"] 6’5" SG | Cypress Park HS | 2021

A.J. is starting to push 6’6". This senior helped his team go 3-1 overall at the event. Tough guard that plays with multiple speeds. He can hurt you from inside or outside. Gets downhill quickly and aggressively and finishes around the rim through contact. He is the first 1,000 point scorer in his high School history and he averaged 15 points per game at the event. he is also a really good on-ball defender who has great lateral speed and a long wingspan with quick hands as he averaged 3.5 steals per game as well. He pulled down an average of 6.5 rebounds and dishes out 2.2 assists as well. College coaches are starting to pick up their recruitment with this prospect. Coaches get your eyes on him today he Top 100 in the State and Top 30 in Greater Houston.

[player_tooltip player_id="887078" first="Jacob" last="Harvey"] 5’11" PG | Huffman HS | 2021 as seen in the picture

Harvey was the best scorer at the event as he averaged 22.2 points per game. He looked really good with his High School team. He ran the show really well and when he didn’t have the ball in his hands he moved great as well. he is a player in whom you cannot leave open or give him any space or else he will make you pay. He has good IQ on the offensive side of the ball as well. he averaged 3.5 assists per game. Quick hands defensively led him to a 2.2 steals per game average, and he also got in the mix to rebound the ball averaging 5 rebounds per game. He has several NCAA D3 offers on the table right now and will be a great piece for which ever institute of higher learning that gets him. He also shot 47% from behind the arc and 59% for his 2FG percentage.

[player_tooltip player_id="887061" first="Jake" last="Arnold"] 6’3" G | Katy Taylor HS | 2021

Another one of the State of Texas top deep ball threats participated in this event as well. He was a tough assignment for who ever had the responsibility of guarding him. He is starting to show us that he is more than just a big time shot maker. He was taking his opponent to the rim as well as breaking down defenses to dish out passes. He just picked up his first NCAA D1 offer a two days before the event. He has other universities on his trail as well. His stat line from the event was 16.7 points per game, 6 rebounds per game, and dished out 2.7 assists per game.
