Soldier 24 Invite: Standout Shooters

<p><strong>Omaha- </strong>This past weekend 24 of the top 2021 prospects from across the state of Nebraska converged upon Bellevue East High school for the first annual Soldier 24 Invite. Throughout the afternoon everybody was placed into teams and played games that were sixteen-minute halves, as well as going athletic testing off the court. Here are the players who stood out the most from beyond the three-point line at the Soldier 24 Invite. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="890465" first="Cam" last="Binder"] - Auburn</strong></p> <p>A two-time state champion, the 6’1 guard from Auburn has received plenty of D2 attention following his summer campaign with OSA 17U Adidas 3SSB. Binder, arguably the best 3 point shooter in the state of Nebraska, did his thing at the Soldier 24 Invite and was hitting from deep even when he was closely guarded. Binder is a certified sniper from behind the arch. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="946019" first="Brendan" last="Buckley"] - Creighton Prep </strong></p> <p>A 6’3 shooting guard, Buckley will thrive this year for Prep on the perimeter. He shot 50% from the field and 43% from 3 last season for the Junior Jays, and his shooting was certainly on display on Saturday. He’s got a quick catch and release, while also being a just a tough player all around. His only offer right now is from Morningside College, but a big senior season should help that list grow. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="890468" first="Frankie" last="Fidler"] - Bellevue West</strong></p> <p>One of the most intriguing uncommitted seniors in the state, Fidler had an injury-plagued summer campaign for Team Factory, Fidler looked healthy on Saturday and was shooting the ball very well from deep. At 6’5, Fidler holds multiple mid-major D1 offers and will look to add some more during his senior campaign with the defending Class A state champs at Bellevue West. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="958179" first="Marcus" last="Shakeer"] - Omaha Benson</strong></p> <p>Shakeer is an incredibly athletic 6’3 guard who can get buckets in a hurry. He was pulling up from deep on Saturday and showcasing his range. Couple that with some athletic plays at the rim, including a couple of one-handed dunks, and his day was pretty solid from start to finish. He will be one of the more impressive bucket getters in Class A this coming season. </p>
