THE FAVORITE – BROOKFIELD CENTRAL
Once again, Central has one of the most talented starting lineups in the state. David Joplin David Joplin 6'8" | SF Brookfield | 2021 State #54 Nation WI , Ben Nau Ben Nau 6'1" | PG Brookfield Central | 2021 State WI , and Andrew Rohde Andrew Rohde 6'6" | SG Brookfield Central | 2022 State WI lead a three-headed monster that no other program in Wisconsin can match up with pound-for-pound. An obvious favorite for the Division 1 state title, the Lancers also have some young players most people haven’t heard of yet that could push their way into the rotation and provide some terrific depth.
TOP CONTENDER – SUSSEX HAMILTON
For the third-straight year, we’re kind of splitting hairs here between Central and Hamilton. Giving the Lancers the edge because they’ve lost less from last season. Patrick Baldwin Jr. Patrick Baldwin Jr. 6'9" | SF Sussex Hamilton | 2021 State #2 Nation WI and Tanner Resch Tanner Resch 6'0" | PG Hamilton | 2021 State WI will be one of the top 1-2 punches in the state. The Chargers are going to need Nolan Reider and Luther Smith Luther Smith 6'1" | SG Sussex Hamilton | 2023 State WI to make big jumps in 2020-21.
DARK HORSE – BROOKFIELD EAST
This is one of those programs that you just trust no matter who’s on the roster. The Spartans have some tough losses to overcome, but the team identity never seems to change. If you play East, you’ve gotta be ready for a 36-minute fistfight. Hayden Doyle Hayden Doyle 6'0" | CG Brookfield East | 2021 State WI (21.0 ppg) is back after a monster junior season. The Spartans will also add the top freshman in the state, Tayshawn Bridges, to the fold.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR – DAVID JOPLIN AND PATRICK BALDWIN JR.
Both Baldwin and Joplin were 1-2 in the league in scoring and rebounding last season. Both will have their teams likely within a game or two of each other at the top of the standings when all is said and done. Both have gotten the better of each other in various head-to-head matchups over the years. Think it will be next to impossible deny either one a share of this award if the season plays out the way most think it will.
BREAKOUT PLAYER – TAYSHAWN BRIDGES
The Greater Metro better be ready for this kid. Bridges is absolutely the real deal and he’ll hit the ground running at the varsity level. An incoming freshman, Bridges is one of the most put together prospects at this age we’ve ever seen. Playing at 14 and 15U all summer, it was almost no competition for the 6-foot-2 guard.
SURPRISE PLAYER – ALEX SINGLETON
Not sure if he’ll actually surprise the Greater Metro in his senior year, but Singleton could be a big reason why Tosa East fights for a top three spot in the league. An extremely active, high motor forward, Singleton brings constant energy and makes game-changing hustle plays. His production may not increase substantially while playing alongside the likes of Parzcyh and Bond, but Singleton did quietly average 9.3 ppg last season. Singleton is coming off a great summer and is now starting to shoot the ball from the outside a bit.
