Player Rankings: C/O 2022 Newcomers Part 2

<p>The new rankings are out! Thanks to re-class and transfers, the c/o 2022 has gone from a top heavy group to a deep talented one. With so many new arrivals it was impossible to get them all in one article. Here’s a look at part 2 of the newcomers to our updated player rankings.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1020764" first="Donte" last="Turner"] <em>6’2 SF Cimarron (#29)</em> - Turner’s making his first appearance in the rankings mainly because of what he brings on the defensive end. I absolutely love the 6’2 wings defensive versatility. He can legit defend 1 through 3 and relishes shutting down offensive weapons at each position. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1042044" first="Jeffrey" last="McEachern Jr"]<em> 6’1 SG Bishop Gorman (#35)</em> - As with many Gorman players McEachern is a tough evaluation. I got to see very little of him during the high school season as he played JV as a sophomore. I was fortunate enough to catch him last month at Pangos, and he showed the ability to not only stay on the floor against tough competition, but also to find a way to score and impact games. Hard to say what type of impact he would have at another program, as it is, his talent warrants him a spot in the rankings.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1044827" first="Anthony" last="Pittman"] <em>5’11 PG Bishop Gorman (#50)</em> - You can take some of what was said about McEachern and insert Pittman’s name. What really intrigues me about the 5’11 PG is that he has a signature skill that he can hang his hat on. Pittman is a lock down on ball defender that takes pride in pressuring ballhandlers. He’s not bad on offense either as he is quick and has the ability to get into the lane and finish.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1048706" first="Phoenix" last="Wortham"]<em> 6’1 SG Green Valley (#60)</em> - Wortham is a wild card as he certainly possess a signature skill. A knock down shooter with insane confidence, the 6’1 shooting guard never met a shot he doesn’t think he’s going to make. While there is still work to be done on his other skills, he keeps a strap on him at all times.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1006243" first="Ray" last="Payne"] <em>6’0 CG Eldorado (#66)</em> - Payne is a combo guard to a T. Some possessions you might catch him run the offense, on others he’s breaking players down 1 on 1 or scoring from the wing.
