Offseason Accolades: 2021 Best Shooters

5-10 PG [player_tooltip player_id="830573" first="AJ" last="White"] – Aim High – Chattahoochee

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know by now that [player_tooltip player_id="830573" first="AJ" last="White"] is one of the best shooters in the Georgia whenever he steps foot on the floor. Nothing changed this offseason as he lit it up from deep while still managing to get his teammates involved. NJIT just offered. Zach Cooks 2.0 anybody?

6-3 SG [player_tooltip player_id="869629" first="Kristian" last="Ford"] – NME – East Paulding

[player_tooltip player_id="869629" first="Kristian" last="Ford"] put himself on the map this offseason and helped his stock by consistently scoring the ball all summer. And how did he do so? He did it with the three-point shot. Ford is a strong shooter that is a threat to cash in from downtown. He’s improved over the years as a finisher as well, giving him tons of momentum heading into his senior season.

6-6 W [player_tooltip player_id="949919" first="Max" last="Hrdlicka"] – Atlanta Timberwolves White – Glynn Academy

I sound like a broken record, but anytime you mention [player_tooltip player_id="949919" first="Max" last="Hrdlicka"]’s three-point stroke the first word that comes to mind is effortless. A simple flick of the wrist on his near set shot is usually always money. Add in his physicality when getting to the hole and his effort on the glass and you have yourself a D-I prospect.

6-0 CG [player_tooltip player_id="869611" first="Shamar" last="Norman"] – Savannah Select – Windsor Forest

[player_tooltip player_id="869611" first="Shamar" last="Norman"] can get as hot as the best of them. He’s a microwave scorer that heats up quickly. He’s got deep range and the confidence to score at all levels. What he lacks in size he makes up for with his scoring touch. Colleges in search of a floor spacer and an overall bucket getter need to check in on Norman.

6-1 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1020670" first="Max" last="Smith"] – HYPE 2021 – West Forsyth

Instant offense off the bench. That is what [player_tooltip player_id="1020670" first="Max" last="Smith"] provided this offseason. Smith is a knockdown shooter once he gets his feet set. He can swing momentum in a heartbeat.

6-1 SG [player_tooltip player_id="1020671" first="Dylan" last="Pumpian"] – SEBA FCI Warriors – Walton

Similar to [player_tooltip player_id="1020670" first="Max" last="Smith"], [player_tooltip player_id="1020671" first="Dylan" last="Pumpian"] can do the same. He’s got a beautiful shot that is as textbook as it gets. He’s a red alert shooter. Defenses must track him at all times or he will shoot the lights out.

5-11 PG [player_tooltip player_id="869616" first="Mason" last="Barnes"] – ATL Wolfpack – Lambert

[player_tooltip player_id="869616" first="Mason" last="Barnes"] is more than just a shooter. He’s got playmaking tendencies as a guard that can play either on or off the ball. He’s got just enough wiggle to evade defenders and he’s got a reliable trigger that can launch from well beyond the three-point line.
