Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look of Class of 2021 guards and wings who really rose their stock during the past six weeks of grassroots action. I was very impressed with what I saw from this group of players.

[player_tooltip player_id="824211" first="Sonny" last="Amabile"] 5’9 34Hoops: The small point guard showcased a fine balance of being the playmaking floor general who can set up his teammates and a bucket-getter who can go and create his own offense. He had several 20-point games during the summer, which included very effective execution in the pick and roll with his ability to shoot the 3-pointer and get into the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id="1042402" first="Connor" last="Arment"] 5’10 Team YOBO: An excellent point guard who helped lead YOBO to the championship game of a couple of tournaments and one tourney title in Kansas City. He is an excellent passer who can set up open teammates in their favorite spots to be effective. I also like his offensive game as he can knock down 3-pointers and create his own shot with a variety of nice escape moves off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id="824213" first="Mason" last="Ballay"] 6’0 Missouri Flight: A talented point guard from Mt. Vernon who has an excellent shooting stroke that extends well beyond the 3-point line. He is also fearless on the drive as he will attack the basket. He handles the ball well against pressure and makes teammates better with his passing ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="1042408" first="Alijah" last="Carter"] 6’2 St Louis Cobras A.N.M: A very athletic combo guard from Pattonville who played with an abundance of energy and activity. He never took a play off at either end of the floor. He was in attack mode on offense throughout the entire summer with the ability to throw down dunks in traffic. He also had a big motor on the defensive end with his ability to play the passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id="986455" first="Runey" last="Hernandez"] 6’5" 810 Varsity: I was very impressed with the athletic wing from Truman because he is the type of all-purpose player who can impact the game in a variety of ways. His size and length causes problems on the defensive end as he can be very disruptive. He handles the ball well enough and he can use his size to get into the lane and make plays inside. He also showcased a nice 3-point shot when he let it fly.

[player_tooltip player_id="824158" first="Barcus" last="Jackson"], Jr 6’2 St. Louis Blazers: A talented wing from Lift for Life who was impressive throughout the summer with his all-around skill set. In addition to his scoring, he was also able to showcase his rebounding, defense and passing skills. He can also facilitate offense as a ball handler when he is called upon with his high basketball IQ.

[player_tooltip player_id="824201" first="Karter" last="Kekec"] 6’0 Gateway-Knights: A high-scoring combo guard from North County had an excellent weekend at The Finale in Kansas City. He plays an aggressive style on both ends with a skill set to get buckets at all three levels. He attacks the basket well and has a dangerous mid-range jumper. He is also a very good on-ball defender who gives a very energetic effort at that end of the floor. He averaged 20 points a game as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id="824150" first="Najee" last="Williams"] 6’4 Marcus Denmon Elite (pictured): The athletic wing from Truman is one of the most explosive wings in the Class of 2021. Not a game passed during July that Williams didn’t have a crowd-pleasing dunk, whether it was in transition or in the half court. His game is much more than athleticism as he displayed a nice 3-point shot to go along with his slashing to the basket. He is primed to have a big senior season.
