Thomas Perez Thomas Perez 5'11" | PG Ridge View | 2023 State SC (2023) – Spring Valley HS – Carolina Cavs
Perez was a pleasant surprise here today with his play from the point guard position. This was actually my first time seeing him play. Perez was efficient finding the open man on the floor and distributing the ball around to his teammates. Perez was able to penetrate-kick into the paint. Perez didn’t turn the ball over at all and was very confident with it in his hands.
Calvin Davinroy Calvin Davinroy 6'3" | SF Oceanside Collegiate | 2023 State SC (2023) – Wando HS (Mount Pleasant) – Low Country Storm
Davinroy just keeps getting better with his play every time he comes out to play. Davinroy is a efficient player on the floor with his chances to score the ball. Davinroy doesn’t look to force shots and picks up on just hustle points alone at times. Davinroy has really had some good showings this summer with his play and continues to get better each game out.
Riley Allenspach (2023) – Lake Norman Christian (NC) – Low Country Storm
Allenspach recently decided he will transfer to Lake Norman Christian (NC) this coming season after playing in Washington State last year. Allenspach has a good skill package for his age and size already. Allenspach has HUGE feet already for his age and still looks to be growing. Allenspach has a soft touch out to the perimeter and should look to team up with his cousin AJ Allenspach this fall in the Hoop State.
Henry Evans Henry Evans 6'4" | SF Kingstree | 2023 State SC – CE Murray HS (Greeleyville) – Big Shots SC 16U Premier
This was the first time seeing Evans play this summer and he was playing up his age group. Evans hails from Williamsburg County and plays at a small Class 1A school. Evans a rangy guard first came on the scene for the War Eagles as a 8th grader on the varsity. Evans was able to connect on some mid-range jumpers today for his squad.
Devin Grainger Devin Grainger 6'1" | PG Conway | 2024 State SC (2024) – Conway HS – Ascend Ballers (pictured on the front)
Grainger saw some minutes last season on the Tigers varsity team for Head Coach Mike Hopkins. Grainger a left- handed guard has a bit of smooth feel for the game already and confidence. Grainger still must improve on his perimeter skills down the road can get the ball to the basket with his ability to slash to the cup. Grainger looks to be a football player in the future also just like his older brother Darren Grainger (Furman Quarterback).
Cazz Williams Cazz Williams 6'2" | CG Fort Dorchester | 2024 State SC (2024) – Fort Dorchester HS – Mechanics Elite
Williams is a combo guard who seems to be better suited off the ball. Williams was able to knockdown some shots on the perimeter today along with some floaters in the lane. Williams has put together a few solid showings in the past few weekends with his play.
