The NBA has done an excellent job keeping players safe, while still keeping the games and season going. The Bubble in the NBA has allowed the season to successfully carry on. What if Michigan high school basketball had a bubble? What players would we want to make sure to see play in our bubble? Here’s a look at some players from the class of 2023 that we’d want to be sure are invited to the Michigan Bubble.
Take a look at our class of 2021 and 2022 Players In The Bubble below:
Players In The Bubble – 2021
Players In The Bubble – 2022
Carter Alexander Carter Alexander 6'1" | PG Chelsea | 2023 State MI (PG, Chelsea)
The upside is huge for Alexander, and we all need to watch him play in the bubble. He can handle and score in the flow of the offense.
Amont’e Allen-Johnson Amont’e Allen-Johnson 6'1" | PG Dream City Christian | 2023 State AZ (PG, Grand Blanc)
After an impressive summer, Allen has to be in the Michigan Bubble. While he’s technically a point, Allen can influence a game off the ball as well.
Chuck Bailey III (PG, Birmingham Groves)
He’s an impressive combination of explosive and efficient when running the offense. Bailey’s a must see in the bubble.
John Blackwell John Blackwell 6'3" | CG Brother Rice | 2023 State #185 Nation MI (SG, Brother Rice)
Sky is the limit for Blackwell. He’s a diverse scorer and is a terrific secondary ball handler that could even wind up playing the point.
Jordan Briggs Jordan Briggs 6'0" | PG Muskegon | 2023 State MI (PG, Muskegon)
Briggs needs to be in our bubble! He attacks downhill off the dribble and gets defenders on his hips.
Joey Donahue Joey Donahue 6'2" | SF Traverse City St. Francis | 2023 State MI (SF, Traverse City St. Francis)
If you want toughness in the Michigan Bubble, here’s a perfect fit. Donahue is also a far underrated all around athlete.
Maxxin Guinn Maxxin Guinn 6'9" | C Romeo | 2023 MI (C, Romeo)
Guinn needs to be in the bubble. With his size and strength, it’d be great to see him battle in the paint.
Cayman Harris Cayman Harris 6'6" | SF Jackson | 2023 State MI (SF, Jackson)
Not enough people have seen Harris play, and the bubble would be great for that. He excels filling a wing in transition.
Luke Hazelton Luke Hazelton 6'7" | PF Glen Lake | 2023 State MI (PF, Glen Lake)
Hazelton is a diverse forward. He can play outside-in or inside-out. He’d be a force in the Michigan Bubble.
Tim Jordan Tim Jordan 6'7" | PF Saginaw Arthur Hill | 2023 TX (PF, Saginaw Arthur Hill)
Jordan is an elite post player in the class. The vertical and long 4 is a must see in our bubble.
Gaden Muxlow Gaden Muxlow 6'4" | CG Brown City | 2023 State MI (PG, Brown City)
I really like the glimpses I’ve seen this summer from Muxlow. He looks confident in his game and is a vastly improved playmaker.
Malik Olafioye Malik Olafioye 6'2" | PG Ecorse | 2023 State #149 Nation MI (PG, Ecorse)
Olafioye is a top 100 prospect in the country in my opinion. His aggressive 2 way game is must see in the bubble.
RJ Taylor RJ Taylor 6'0" | PG Grand Blanc | 2023 State #262 Nation MI (PG, Grand Blanc)
A premier lead guard like Taylor has to be in the Michigan Bubble. He has a mature game and can control the pace and feel of the game.
Jakhary Towns Jakhary Towns 6'1" | SG Godwin Heights | 2023 State MI (SG, Godwin Heights)
Towns is silky smooth and a must have in our bubble. He can create space off the dribble and posseses a solid mid range game.
Curtis Williams Curtis Williams 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2023 State #93 Nation MI (SF, Brother Rice)
Williams has quickly become a desired high major D1 prospect. He’s a supremely talented wing.
