MINNETONKA, Minn. -- The Prep Hoops Circuit came to a close on Sunday with the Rumble Up North wrapping up bracket play. Here’s a look at some of the top individual performances from the action on day two...

[player_tooltip player_id="879990" first="Dustin" last="Beauprey"] - 2021 - PG - Wisconsin Crusaders

You never know how Sunday games are going to go, especially when each team isn’t playing for a title and knows they’re going home after the final buzzer regardless of the outcome. One thing you appreciate about Beauprey is he’s the game guy every time out. He can miss a dunk, a layup, make a bad decision with the basketball, but it never carries over to the next play. In a shootout loss to Lincoln Supreme, Beauprey was once again terrific. One of the most consistent prospects this summer, Beauprey scored effectively from all three levels, facilitated and create offense for his teammates, and just kept his team afloat in a high-scoring affair by putting the offense on his back. Said it many times, but Division 2 programs need to catch on here and start prioritizing Beauprey.

[player_tooltip player_id="994506" first="Rickey" last="Bradley"] - 2021 - PG - Movement Hoops Elite

Bradley ensured that he’s going to move way up in the next rankings update. The Milwaukee King guard capped off a nice summer with an impressive outing during a loss to Wisconsin Academy. Bradley just came ready at 9 a.m. with plenty of energy on both ends of the the floor. He’s a bigger guard, but is surprisingly shifty and crafty for his frame. Bradley looks really good when he gets downhill, able to change directions and speeds to fools the defense. Bradley does the little things too. A willing defender who also rebounds really well for a guard, Bradley looks like a joy to coach.

Cole Kalander - 2021 - F - Wisconsin City Hoops Select

Kalander is an intriguing prospect and a kid I didn’t know about coming into Sunday. The Holmen product stands at 6-foot-8 and is quite bouncy. He’s a fluid athlete that can handle the ball, attack the rim, and play in transition. Kalander averaged 2.7 points per game as a junior. Perhaps this is a late bloomer for schools to keep tabs on during the 2020-21 season.
[caption id="attachment_1032386" align="alignright" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="935490" first="Jalen" last="Keago"][/caption]
[player_tooltip player_id="935490" first="Jalen" last="Keago"] - 2021 - SF - Shooting Stars

Keago was on a roll until an ankle injury sidelined him for the second half during a loss to the Wisconsin Playmakers. The Oshkosh North standout scored 15 points, including 13 in the first half before checking out early in the final period. Keago looked really strong offensively, showcasing his three-level scoring ability. Keago hit shots off the bounce, went coast-to-coast in transition, and had a big dunk on the interior. After breaking out during his junior season, Keago looks primed for bigger and better things in 2020-21.

[player_tooltip player_id="880021" first="Jack" last="Misky"] - 2021 - PF - Wisconsin Academy

In a lot ways, Misky is the same player he is for Cuba City during the high school season. Even though he’s surrounded by a lot of talent, his name keeps popping up. It’s not widely known that he averaged 14.4 points and 7.0 rebounds as the Cubans’ fourth-option in 2019-20. A prospect that doesn’t need sets to run through him, Misky just finds ways to impact the game. He works his tail off on the offensive glass, runs the floor, and makes up for being a little undersized with his heart. The 6-foot-4 forward doesn’t always get a ton of touches, but can shoot the ball from the outside and has a decent post skill set. Misky finished with a team-high 13 points in a win over Movement Hoops Elite, going 5-of-6 from the foul line down the stretch to secure the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id="994493" first="Marko" last="Rajkovic"] - 2021 - F - JH1 Elite

Facing a bigger, more athletic Alabama Celtics squad, Rajkovic showed that blue collar toughness still has its place in basketball. Rajkovic really beat up the zone defense in a variety of ways. He got into the soft spots and slashed from the mid/high-post. Using his strong upper body, Rajkovic finished inside against contact and bullied defenders en route to the rim. With any zone defense, there’s an opportunity to crash the offensive glass and Rajkovic took full advantage there. He fought underneath the rim, moved bodies around, and positioned himself for second-chance opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id="804951" first="Jaquanis" last="Rhodes"] - 2021 - PG - Shooting Stars

Rhodes had 19 points in a tough loss to the Wisconsin Playmakers. The West Allis Central lead guard has some of the best handles and speed on the ball in the state. Rhodes turned the game in the second half, pulling defenders out near halfcourt and using his blow-by ability to get to the rim. A break-you-down guard who takes care of the basketball, takes calculated risks, and generates a lot of offense going to the rim, Rhodes is a rare breed as an uptempo prospect who also plays a high-IQ game.

[player_tooltip player_id="865850" first="Mekhi" last="Shaw"] - 2022 - PG - Wisconsin Playmakers

Thought Shaw really held his own in a 17U game against Shooting Stars while facing a lot of fast, athletic guards. When the game was on the line, Shaw also delivered when it mattered most. Down four, Shaw hit a corner 3-pointer with 25 seconds left. He then stole the inbounds pass and kicked to a teammate for a wide open triple that won the game. A big stock booster this summer, Shaw has greatly impressed with his ability to be a pure point guard, but also create his own shot or break down defenders when things are stagnant.

[player_tooltip player_id="801168" first="Josh" last="Terrian"] - 2022 - SF - JH1 Elite
[caption id="attachment_1032269" align="alignright" width="300"] Photo: Alex Conover Prep Hoops[/caption]
For the second-straight weekend, Terrian played really well against D1 Minnesota. The Pewaukee standout had 19 points to help JH1 to a huge victory. Wasn’t anything particularly flashy about Terrian’s performance, but he’s a reliable and consistent performer. The 6-foot-3 wing knocked down his open 3’s off kick outs, took some hard contact at the rim and finished or got to the foul line, and really helped JH1 defensively and on the glass against a lot of bigger, longer athletes.

[player_tooltip player_id="761411" first="Najashi" last="Tolefree"] - 2022 - SF - Movement Hoops Elite

Movement Hoops fell in a contested matchup with Wisconsin Academy, but Tolefree was outstanding down the stretch. Putting the team on his back, Tolefree took out his do-it-yourself kit and went to work. Finishing with a game-high 26 points, including four 3-pointers in a 17U game, Tolefree was taking advantage of matchups, pulling opposing bigs away from the rim, sizing them up, and making his move. The 6-foot-5 junior looked really good shooting the ball from the outside. He drilled some clutch triples while pulling up beyond the arc.

Donovan Washington - 2022 - G - JH1 Elite

An unranked prospect that perhaps had a breakthrough game on Saturday, Washington came up with nine huge points and some other momentum-shifting plays in a win over JH1 Elite. Washington doesn’t always get a lot of minutes, but came off the bench, and hit three huge triples, showing no-fear in a very high-level basketball game. The first one came when D1 Minnesota starting to assert themselves and make a run in the first half. Washington stepped up and ended that spurt. In the second half, Washington also grabbed a huge offensive rebound and assisted on a 3-pointer as well as a steal that led to a timely transition bucket.
