10 prospects to watch this weekend at the Prep Hoops Rumble up North...

[player_tooltip player_id="981201" first="Levi" last="Birkholz"] - 2023 - SG - Wisconsin Crusaders

An up and coming prospect to know in the 2023 class, Birkholz has one of the best motors you'll see in a guard. An athletic, strong , high-motor player, Birkholz has above the rim athleticism and a lot of dog in him. The Lakeside Lutheran standout provides a lot of energy with his willingness to attack the basket with power.

[player_tooltip player_id="880007" first="Josh" last="Crubaugh"] - 2022 - SG - JH1 Elite

One of the top shooters in the state, Crubaugh continues to show strong improvements. He's got strong positional size at 6-foot-4. With his length and smooth shooting ability, Crubaugh can get his shot off quickly and is always ready to shoot.

Cole Deptula - 2021 - SG - Wisconsin Starz Elite
[caption id="attachment_1030569" align="alignright" width="300"] Photo: Alex Conover, Prep Hoops[/caption]
The former Middleton standout has reclassified and will attend prep school next season. Deptula is certainly going to be recruited at a much higher level during his post grad years. A high volume scorer that can flat out shoot the rock, Deptula has emerged as a solid rise and fire guard who's comfortable from all areas of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="804899" first="Zac" last="Johnson"] - 2021 - SG - Wisconsin Playmakers

Johnson remains a strong Divison 2 prospect. Michigan Tech and Winona State have both offered thus far. The 6-foot-3 sniper has in-the-gym range. His improved athleticism, handles, and body control at the rim will give Johnson a chance to play his way to the mid-major level.

[player_tooltip player_id="804893" first="David" last="Joplin"] - 2021 - SF - D1 Minnesota

Following a week off, Joplin is expected back in action. Joplin holds scholarship offers from Texas, Butler, Iowa State, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Missouri, and more. A skilled, versatile, three-level scorer, Joplin has perhaps the most diverse scoring skill sets in the state. Battling with [player_tooltip player_id="804897" first="James" last="Graham"] for the No. 2 spot in Wisconsin’s 2021 class, another big weekend will help cement Joplin’s status.

[player_tooltip player_id="935490" first="Jalen" last="Keago"] - 2021 - SF - Shooting Stars

Keago is still one of the top under the radar seniors in the state and is worthy of Division 2 attention. A prospect that jumped onto the scene last season in the Fox Valley Association, Keago still has plenty of untapped potential left. He's a long, smooth athlete that stands at 6-foot-5. Keago can handle the ball, get up and down in transition, and has an excellent mid-range game.

[player_tooltip player_id="981149" first="Braden" last="McGlothlin"] - 2023 - G - JH1 Elite

One of many ranked prospects on JH1 Elite's 15U squad, McGlothlin has the makings of a deadly shooter. The Catholic Memorial standout is a quick-trigger guard with an efficient one-dribble jumper. McGlothlin can shoot it from well beyond the arc and extend the defense. The 6-foot-1 sophomore plays on and off the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="801136" first="Maximus" last="Nelson"] - 2022 - F - Wisconsin Playground Club
[caption id="attachment_1030570" align="alignright" width="300"] Max Nelson[/caption]
Nelson continues to expand his offensive skill set. A 6-foot-8 sniper, Nelson is an excellent 3-point shooter that's now found an in-between game. He can catch on the perimeter or in the high post, turn, face, and shoot over the top. Holding an offer from UW-Milwaukee, Nelson has built on a breakout sophomore year at Appleton North and boosted his stock quite a bit this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="761411" first="Najashi" last="Tolefree"] - 2022 - SF - Movement Hoops

Have Tolefree now penciled in among the top 15 prospects in the class of 2022 and waiting to see how high he’ll end up this summer. Continuing to play up in the 17U level, Tolefree is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the state. A strong, physical, and versatile forward, Tolefree can score, rebound, and defend at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1017075" first="Jalen" last="Womack"] - 2022 - G - Wisconsin Blizzard Ivory

A promising prospect who can play a variety of roles, Womack is a 6-foot-2 guard with some nice length and passing ability. He spends a lot of time at the point and impressed last weekend with his ability to drive and dish the ball.
