KC-Area Player Evaluations from KC Classic

<p>The Kansas City Classic tournament held July 3-5 permitted a close up look at a bevy of KC-area players. Analysis published following the tournament included a handful of standouts like <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="889488" first="Payton" last="Hanzlik"]</strong>, <strong>Malik Johnson</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="962473" first="Andrew" last="Orr"]</strong>.</p> <p>But the tournament showcased the abilities of dozens of other up-and-coming KC players. Here are some who demonstrated their talents at the KC Classic:</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1076397" first="Sebastian" last="Hamm"], 2022, Blue Valley Southwest:</strong></p> <p>Hamm is a scrappy defender who, at 5-foot-11 can be a handful for opposing guards. He showed the ability to go full court with the ball, to drive to the basket and convert. But he's equally dangerous from the perimeter, showing nice touch on several 3-pointers.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="946201" first="Miles" last="Blandi"], 2021, Blue Valley:</strong></p> <p>The 6-foot-1 guard is a three-point threat for MoKan. His summer team is loaded with talented big men, but he should get opportunities to stretch defenses. His size and effort allow him to be a disruptive defender. With so many ballhandlers on MoKan, he has to patiently play various roles.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="889470" first="Harrison" last="Braudis"], 2021, Bishop Miege:</strong></p> <p>The 6-foot-1 guard is the 27^th rated prospect in Kansas by Prep Hoops. Like Blandi, he'll get opportunities to launch from the perimeter for MoKan. He runs the floor well as an outlet and can score in the open court. He brings versatility to the point, showing he can defend and rebound.</p> <p><strong>John Pujado, 2023, Blue Valley West:</strong></p> <p>A guard to watch for the future. Pujado looks taller than the 5-foot-7 he was listed last fall. He is smooth with the ball and shows the ability to penetrate. He is one of several guards on the MoKan U15 team, but he is getting experience running the offense this summer.</p>
