The top prospects to watch this weekend at the Mississippi River Classic in Dubuque...

[player_tooltip player_id="804908" first="Carter" last="Capstran"] - 2021 - PF - Wisconsin Independent

Capstran is coming off a breakout weekend at the Prep Hoops Hard Work SZN Kickoff. A skilled 6-foot-6 power forward who can step away from the rim, Capstran can shoot from all over the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="879979" first="Brayden" last="Dailey"] - 2021 - SF - Iowa Mavericks Purple

The Cuba City standout is arguably the best shooter in Wisconsin’s 2021 class. The 6-foot-5 wing has offers from UW-Green Bay, Western

Illinois, Missouri State, and UW-Milwaukee. Also an above the rim prospect, Dailey has effortless leaping ability and a lot of room to grow into his lanky frame.

[player_tooltip player_id="806560" first="Jordan" last="Johnson"] - 2021 - G - Wisconsin Elite

One of the best Division 2 prospects in Wisconsin, Johnson is an explosive ball handler with shot-creating ability. The Elkhorn standout puts his head down and loves to draw contact around the rim. He can also shake n’ bake in the half court and knock down jumpers at a good clip.

[player_tooltip player_id="880022" first="Chad" last="Kron"] - 2021 - G - Wisconsin City Hoops Select

Kron was the sidekick of [player_tooltip player_id="544501" first="Dalton" last="Banks"] last season and we’re eager to see what he can do as one of the feature players. The Eau Claire North guard is a strong 3-point shooter who also can dish the ball and create offense for his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="764119" first="Dylan" last="Kuehl"] - 2021 - F - Wisconsin Elite

A strong and versatile prospect, Kuehl is catching a lot of Division 2 looks this summer. Northern Michigan and Minnesota-Moorehead have both offered the 6-foot-4 forward who is coming off a huge junior season. Kuehl handles the ball and slashes to the bucket well. Despite being undersized, he’s a force underneath the hoop as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="804904" first="Brian" last="Parzych"] - 2021 - G - Wisconsin Independent

Parzych maybe had the best weekend out of any prospect at the Prep Hoops Hard Work SZN Kickoff. A point guard that brings a ton of energy on both ends, Parzych just doesn’t have an off switch. Northerm Michigan has offered the Wauwatosa East guard, who can get to the rim consistently, dish the rock in the open floor or in the half court, and gets after people defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id="879986" first="Tanner" last="Resch"] - 2021 - G - Wisconsin Independent

Another prospect who can make the claim as the state’s best shooter, Resch has unlimited range. A legit Division 2 prospect, Resch is known for

[caption id="attachment_1012663" align="alignright" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="879986" first="Tanner" last="Resch"][/caption]

his long-range shooting ability, but continues to prove he’s a lot more than just a sniper. Resch has drastically improved his strength, ball handling, and scoring ability from all three levels.

[player_tooltip player_id="880973" first="Colin" last="Schaefer"] - 2020 - PG - Wisconsin Independent

One of the top unsigned seniors in the state, Schaefer is a legitimate Division 2 prospect. A winner that’s coming off a big senior season, Schaefer holds a few scholarship offers. A skilled, athletic point guard, Schaefer balances being a facilitator and scorer at a high level. He’s come a long way offensively over the past year and cemented himself as a top 25 prospect in the 2020 class.

Ryan Thompson - 2021 - F/C - 17U Brown

A kid that has a chance to come out of this weekend ranked, Thompson did some nice things when we saw him in fall league last year. Thompson has some decent skill for a 6-foot-8 post prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="880014" first="Joe" last="Reuter"] - 2021 - SG - Wisconsin Playmakers Siler

Another big stock booster from the Prep Hoops Hard Work SZN Kickoff, Reuter showed he can fill it up. The 6-foot-4 sniper scores well from all three levels. Reuter is deadly coming off screens or pulling up off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id="880033" first="Jaxson" last="Zibell"] - 2021 - SG - Wisconsin Elite Thompson

Zibell is one of the best shooters you haven’t heard of yet. The Waunakee standout has in-the-gym range and defenders absolutely can’t lose track of him. About 5-foot-11, Zibell doesn’t get enough credit for his ability to attack the basket as well. He’s a tough finisher against contact and can also adjust his shot mid-air if needed.
