GASO Duncanville: All-Tournament Third Team (Championship Orange)

<p>For the second straight weekend, AAU basketball was played in Dallas. After a great first weekend with the Dallas Showtyme Classic, it was Great American Shootout’s turn to host a tournament at the Duncanville Fieldhouse. This tournament featured countless talented teams and I had the opportunity to take in the action on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.</p> <p><strong><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/IMG_7801-rotated.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1004234 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/IMG_7801-150x150.jpg" alt="[player_tooltip player_id=" width="150" height="150" /></a>[player_tooltip player_id="594594" first="Tay" last="Mosher"] - Texas Impact 4:13 - F</strong></p> <p>Mosher is an excellent defender with good touch from behind-the-arc. His range continues to increase with time and his jumper looks more consistent every time that I watch him play. Mosher is also a strong rebounder.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0011.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1006658 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0011-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1006659" first="Labroderick" last="Scott"] - Texas Legion Elite - G</strong></p> <p>Scott was one of the best rebounding guards in the tournament and brings energy every time he steps on the floor. He is also a good scorer around the basket and is a good finisher through contact. Scott never gives up on a play and also plays solid defense.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="887076" first="Calaway" last="Dykes"] - Texas Impact 4:13 - G</strong></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0005.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1006661 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0005-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></p> <p>Dykes is one of the top shooting guards in DFW and a knockdown shooter. He can score off the dribble or off the catch and is a good scorer in transition. Dykes was one of the best players off-the-bench in the entire tournament and should not be overlooked.  </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0015.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1006665 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0015-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></p> <p><strong>Jahsire Sheriff - SW Elite - G</strong></p> <p>Sheriff is a flashy point guard that has a knack for scoring. He is a good shooter from downtown, a good slasher, and he has a great handle. Sheriff is also a good passer and has a good motor.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1006669" first="Kevin" last="Rankin"] - Strength N Motion - G</strong></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0008.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1006668 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/DSC_0008-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></p> <p>Rankin is an all-around guard with a good handle and a smooth jumper. He also has good vision and rebounds on both ends of the floor. Rankin is an excellent free-throw shooter that gets to the free-throw line often.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
