Ohio Players AAU Standouts 6/28

<p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/Ball-04916.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-1006593 alignleft" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/Ball-04916-240x300.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="300" /></a>AAU is about to be jam-packed into a busy July season, and I was fortunate enough to see some upbeat scrimmages take place in Southwest Ohio Sunday. Ohio Players features players from Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. Their top two stars are under the radar prospects for small D-1 schools and would be major pickups for D-2. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="805181" first="CamRon" last="McKenzie"] is a solid guard with tremendous range and shooting ability. He also features a solid build. McKenzie has been a player I have seen often this year, and he can score on command. While his handles and vision are definitely not lacking, I think tuning up those skills will get him the offers he deserves. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="917442" first="Julian" last="Mackey"] is another sharpshooter and is improving his scoring ability at the rim. While he can square up from just about anywhere, it was nice to see him taking contact on the drive and even going for a poster dunk, which he was fouled on. Julian is quick in transition and has great handles. Adding some size to his lengthy frame and continuing to improve his defense should land him some offers by the end his next season of Prep. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/Ball-04800.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-1006595 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/06/Ball-04800-240x300.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="300" /></a>Another solid performer from Ohio was [player_tooltip player_id="805213" first="Nolan" last="Burney"]. Nolan is a 6’7 PF who showed confidence in his shooting ability and range. He has a solid frame and showed that he can keep up in an up-tempo game. He is a good rebounder, but I would love to see him be more physical and become more of an inside presence. This short AAU season can really help Nolan make a name for himself. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="918994" first="Zion" last="Reynolds"] showed great defensive play along with confidence in his offensive game. He is a solid guard that can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Zion holds some college offers but proving he is a consistent shooter and continuing his defensive presence will start to earn him some better ones in the future. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
