He sent in some summer highlights from an event with [program_tooltip program_id='2078752' first='Upward' last='Stars SE'], and it was quite impressive. Rice is a slashing wing who excelled on tape getting to the rim off the dribble and in transition. His combination of length and bounce helps him finish well at the rim, but he will need to continue to get stronger as he gets older for that to remain a strength of his. Kam also flashed some shooting in his highlights, both in the mid-range and from three, and that will likely be the attribute that determines how far he can go at the next level.

Kellen is another Upward Stars 2029 at the top of this list. He too sent in some film from one of their non-3SSB events, which continued to highlight him as one of the better shooters in the class. Leverett is an efficient perimeter scorer, and can do so in a variety of ways, including on pull-ups, off the catch, and off designed sets. He also has an excellent passing feel, which is one of the things that sets him apart from some of the other guards his age. If Kellen can improve his ability to create paint touches and finish at the rim more consistently, that will help make his game more complete and boost his numbers significantly going forward.

Next up on the list is Bennett. Dalton is a versatile wing who proved he could do a little bit of everything on his [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] film. They use his positional size to impact the game in a multitude of ways, including interior finishing, pick-and-roll screening, slashing layups from the wing, and rebounding and pushing in transition. Bennett got to the rim and finished frequently in his highlights, so if he continues to grow and can add a perimeter shot to go with it, he is in good hands to be a recruitable 2 or 3 down the line.

Another Fox Creek and [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] sophomore sent in some of his film for review. I loved the defensive impact he consistently showed, using his length to force turnovers and tough shots frequently. He is a confident player who can put the ball in the basket at multiple levels of the floor, and his [program_tooltip program_id='2078743' first='SC' last='Spiders'] AAU film was quite impressive. Mason's three-point shooting will be very important for the Indians, but he can also get to the rim and finish around bodies or pull up off the dribble with floaters and mid-range shots to keep the defense off balance and give his team a consistent scoring option. He's definitely one to watch in the Upstate in 2026-27.

Rounding out this part of our 2029 Film Room is [player_tooltip player_id='3566461' first='Aj' last='James']. James is another Gaffney sophomore who has some intriguing pieces to his game. He looks to provide a spark with his scoring whenever he's on the floor, and he had several tough baskets on tape that showcased how talented he is. James is an excellent perimeter shooter and is very solid driving to his right hand or spinning into a mid-range jumper on the right side of the floor. If he tightens his handle and adds some playmaking feel to make him an option as a Point Guard, it would not be hard to see Aj as a key player for the Indians in the future.

Another Fox Creek and Carolina Pressure sophomore sent in some of his film for review. Based on what I've seen from him in person and what I watched on video, Landen has the makings of an off-ball guard who can have a ton of two-way impact. Carlos is a nice guard prospect out of South Florence High School. Despite not being the biggest guard, he has a really good feel for scoring at the rim because of his polish in playing off two feet, deceptiveness with pump fakes, and scrappiness to play through contact. As he gets older and more comfortable making plays for others, Parker could definitely become one of the best Point Guards in the Pee Dee.
