For Region 10, schools eligible to have a player included on the “small school” list are members of the All “A” Member schools for the 2026-27 season. Those schools include Augusta, Bishop Brossart, Bracken County, Calvary Christian, Nicholas County, Paris, Robertson County and St. Patrick.

[player_tooltip player_id='3431036' first='Peyton' last='Hatton'] was a key contributor for the Bluejackets last season, averaging 17.4 points per game. He knocked down 76 three-pointers, averaging 2.3 per game, while shooting 36.4% from beyond the arc. Hatton has the ability to be a big-time scorer for Nicholas County this season and should be one of the team's primary offensive threats. He also has the ball-handling and passing ability to create opportunities for his teammates. He is a deadly shooter who can create his own shot off the dribble or knock down shots when given the chance to catch and shoot.

Augusta was made up of young talent a season ago, and at the head of that group was Maddox Hesler. As a sophomore, Hesler averaged 17 points per game while leading the team in rebounding at 8.6 boards per game. He can hurt opponents from deep or attack the basket, giving him multiple ways to score. Hesler plays through contact and does not back down from physicality. His physicality and relentlessness also make him a strong rebounder who can impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Paris lost several key players to other schools in the offseason, but one of its top returning pieces is [player_tooltip player_id='3579964' first='Braylon' last='Francis'], who led the Greyhounds with 14.6 points per game a season ago. He knocked down 42 three-pointers while also leading the team in rebounding at 4.6 boards per game. Francis is a three-level scorer who uses his athleticism and shiftiness to create separation, whether he is getting an outside shot off or keeping the ball away from shot blockers around the rim. He is a strong driver who has several different moves to get into the paint and finish. With Francis serving as an important returning piece for Paris, his ability to create his own offense will be especially important this season.

Drew Steffen led Brossart in scoring last season, averaging 12.9 points per game. He was especially effective from downtown, knocking down 73 three-pointers while shooting 39.2% from deep and averaging 2.6 makes per game. Steffen can be a deadly shooter who is capable of knocking down shots from anywhere on the floor, whether it is from the top of the key, wing or corner. He is excellent in the catch-and-shoot game, but can also put the ball on the floor for a few dribbles or use a pump fake to create separation. Steffen also has a smooth shooting motion that allows him to get his shot off consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='2856843' first='Luke' last='Getsy'] has been a consistent piece for Calvary over the last few seasons, and that will not change this season. A season ago, he averaged 10.7 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, making him a threat to record a double-double on any given night. Getsy was also highly efficient from the field, shooting 62.1% for the season. He is an effective presence in the paint, using not only his size but also his strength to make an impact around the basket. Getsy's defensive impact was just as important last season, as he was named NKAC Division III Defensive Player of the Year.

With several key contributors gone for the Bluejackets, freshman [player_tooltip player_id='3424849' first='Ty' last='Simons'] will be one player expected to help fill the void. Simons averaged 8.2 points per game as an eighth grader last season while shooting 47.1% from the field and 35% from three-point range, along with pulling down 3.7 rebounds per game. He is among the best freshmen in the state and enters the season with plenty of expectations. Considering what he has already accomplished, Simons has the potential to put together a high-scoring career with the Bluejackets. He can impact the game with his own scoring ability while also creating opportunities for his teammates with his passing and playmaking.

[player_tooltip player_id='2526478' first='Brady' last='Boruske'] averaged exactly 10 points per game a season ago while also pulling down 3.7 rebounds per game. Boruske joins Steffen as one of two returning players with more than 500 career points for the Mustangs heading into the season. A standout wide receiver, Boruske's strong hands also translate to the basketball court. He is a solid defender who does a good job getting into passing lanes for steals, which allows him to get out in transition and finish quickly with a soft touch around the basket. Boruske plays the game with a smoothness that makes him a versatile and reliable piece for the Mustangs.
