At Prep Hoops Indiana we admittedly don't really pay attention to middle school basketball. That is for our friends over at Prep Hoops NEXT to handle. Our introduction to the incoming freshman class is generally those players who play at the varsity level at the Charlie Hughe Showcase in June. From there, we may get eyes on a few of the top prospects with their respective AAU teams in July, but the big introduction comes with our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. That event brings in over 100 of the top prospects in the incoming class for us to evaluate.

Over the course of the last few months we have been able to get a pretty good grasp on this Class of 2030. With this first release we have ranked the Top 25 prospects in the class and have a Watch List of nearly 150 additional prospects.

It is important to note that at this point our overall scope of the class is relatively narrow. If you were not on a varsity roster at the Charlie Hughes Showcase, attend our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase, or come across our desk in some other very specific way it is unlikely you will find yourself in this initial release. However, this is an ever-growing database. We will likely add 50-100 names by our next update alone and will eventually have a database of nearly 500 prospects by the time your senior year rolls around. So, if you aren't included right now it doesn't mean you aren't a great prospect, we simply haven't come across you yet. Please connect with me directly via email at coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com if you would likely be considered for the next update.

We always drive home the point that rankings are an inexact science. That is even more true with younger prospects. These are PROSPECT rankings not PRODUCTION rankings, but that line can be even more blurry when players are still so young. There might be players ranked very high in this initial release that will play very little varsity basketball while some on the Watch List may be major contributors. That is why I am always very transparent when it comes to rankings. My email address is coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com or you can find me on Twitter @BRamseyKSR. Reach out to me if you have any questions or if you would like to submit information to be considered at the next update. We do these 3-4 times a year because we know it is an inexact science. There will always be someone flying under-the-radar. However, at Prep Hoops Indiana, we do as good of a job as possible covering every single corner of the state and finding good players from high-major Division I prospects to Division III prospects and everything in between. Between coaching at the collegiate level, running my own scouting service, and now working here at Prep Hoops Indiana I've been involved in the player evaluation and recruiting world for over 15 years. I am here to help you above all else. Please never hesitate to reach out with questions, comments, or concerns.

One last note, some of the profiles included in the Watch List are incomplete. While I did take some time to clean things up, for the most part I left the information provided unchanged. Therefore, if you notice that your position and/or high school is not listed please contact me directly and I will get that updated immediately. Similarly, if you notice anything WRONG within your profile (name misspelling, height, position, high school, etc.) please reach out to me directly as well.
