I attended the annual AZ Compass Prep Fall League on three different days watching 15 games over those days. These teams are a combination of teams success and how they played when I viewed them. The players on teams that went undefeated or only loss 1 or 2 games are obviously placed a little higher. (Always some exceptions to the rules). As always these are NOT player rankings. Also some only played 1 game so many be lower down compared to some others who played for their team every game.

A combo guard is a defensive dynamo. He is a very good on-ball defender with his size, long arms and quicker twitch anticipation. He will drive and kick it to set up teammates. He will score with off the dribble threes, mid-range pull-ups and blow by layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506421' first='Nuul' last='Deng'] Goliath Christian Academy

A bigger wing forward is a tough cover. He will score it with coast to coast takes with his fluid handle. He is very athletic and will get downhill with very long strides. He is tough enough to take contact and will score with mid-range fall aways and often gets to the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2418479' first='Zaivion' last='Goudeau'] San Tan Charter

A bigger guard is a newcomer from the Midwest. The Wisconsin product can score it with threes off the catch, quick dribble drives to the basket with very long strides and runs the floor well. He will also crash the glass as a plus rebounder for his position.

[player_tooltip player_id='3772625' first='Tevin' last='Lippi-Smith'] Phhoenix Prep (Pictured)

A bigger scoring guard is another newcomer for me. The New Zealand born player is a knockdown shooter from the three point line with a pretty looking stroke. He will score with mid-range pull-ups and get downhill and takes contact well. He collects steals and will dunk it on the other end.

[player_tooltip player_id='3726255' first='Marrion' last='May'] Sequoia Prep

A tough defensive minded point guard with great size who can make plays and score. He has quicker feet and hands and will unselfishly make smart reads. He will score with tough inside takes using his stronger frame with his left or right hand. He will hit perimeter jumpers and get to the free throw line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2853933' first='Trey' last='McClure'] AZ Compass OPEN

A bigger guard or wing forward is a tough player who will score it from inside and out. He can shoot it with mid-range pull-ups, which seems to be his sweet spot, downhill tough takes and he is great on the glass with a big motor to compete. He can also defend multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2552769' first='Izaiah' last='Rawlings'] AZ Compass Prep Grind/OPEN

A scoring point guard is quick as a hiccup. He is fast, skilled but he also knows how to change speeds well. He will score with deep threes, mid-range pull-ups. burst into the lane with his speed and gets the defender off balance to get by. He is also a good passer. He was at Apollo his freshmen and sophomore year and transferred to AZ Compass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2363114' first='Houston' last='Shortell'] AZ Compass Prep

A newcomer from New York is a very athletic guard with plus size for position. He will score with downhill takes better than most and will pull-up from mid to the three point line. He has a nice burst of speed and takes contact well. He also dunks it easily on the break.
