4A Region 4 Key Players

Before the season tip-offs, I wanted to preview every division of every conference in the state. He projects as a lead scoring guard as he continues to develop. Off the ball, Ware is very active, coming off down screens for open looks and cutting the baseline. He can knock down the three off the catch, and he's continuing to grow as an on-ball scorer. Creating space while also having good shot IQ is a big factor in his growth. The sophomore guard has a ton of talent and potential as a three-level scorer. Bell consistently rises over defenders for looks in the mid-range and three-point areas. The lefty can also create space for himself with shifty moves like a side step. He's a fun watch when he gets going offensively. Bo has a high motor on both ends of the court. He also always seems to be the first one to celebrate a teammate's success. He uses that same athleticism to anchor the paint down low. Jade is a great shot blocker out of the help side, impacting almost every shot. He makes his biggest impact when attacking missed shots. On both ends, Canley is very aggressive. Though he is 6'7, he doesn't solely rely on his size, which makes him a much better rebounder than most. He's a three-level scorer who efficiently gets to his spots in every layer of the defense. Around the rim, he's a crafty finisher, utilizing his size and poise to be effective. He doesn't get sped up by defenders and is overall very calm with the ball in his hands. After watching him play for HDElite this summer, the guard has clearly taken a big leap. Last season, he showed he can impact the game without the ball, making him a two -way versatile player. If he can continue to shoot more efficiently from behind the arc, this will open his game up even more.
